Marcus was 20 for 32 and 170 yards with a TD pass in Fresno State's Mountain West Conference championship win over Boise State. The Bulldogs (11-2, ranked #25), defeated the Broncs 19-16 in Boise in front of an overflow crowd.
McMaryion and Fresno State will play ASU in the Las Vegas Bowl over the Holidays.

Overflow Crowd? Place was 2/3 empty. I'm glad for 3M but will be glad when he's gone so we don't have threads like this every time he sneezes or something.

I don't mind this dead horse - I somehow find comfort in 3M's success; it shows that while anderpants decimated the OSU, 3M at least survived intact.

I hate bowl season... the announcements that don't include OSU just suck. 3M being in one doesn't help. Good for him... but sux.

It’s tough to ignore 3M simply because how good he was elsewhere after being put in such bad positions when he played at OSU. This year he’s among the top 6-15 NCAA leaders in QB rating, pass completion percentage, yards per attempt, fewest sacks allowed, completions, total yards, long play, and his interception percentage is off the charts lower than any other QB in the Country. 3 INTs in 399 attempts, that’s 0.75%. There’s only a couple other kids that squeak below 1.5%. He’s had a very good post OSU/GA career.

Yes on 2 different fronts - not including OSU of course and honestly, I can't keep track of the bowls anymore. I just looked at the names... Bad Boys Mowers Gasparilla Bowl? That's a thing. Servpro First Responders Bowl? Also a thing. Preparation H Bowl? Not a thing, but if it was, you wouldn't blink. Cheez-It Bowl? Cal vs TCU. I hope the swag is just boxes and boxes of Cheez-Its.

Don't forget it was the Ducks winning their first bowl in forever at the Poulan Weedeater Independence Bowl. Yeah, they got the W but in such an ignominiously named game that it is almost like they lost...LOL!

At the same time we'd all be giving virtual chest bumps right now if we were in the party and playing in the Cheez-It bowl or RedBox bowl..or Raycom Media Camellia Bowl. And I'd proudly be wearing my commemorative Oregon State Cheez It Bowl Shirt. Soon i hope...

I'm here to chew bubble gum and s%#t on Anderpants... and I am fresh outta bubble gum (which is to say, it is never beating a dead horse when one is talking about the vapid incompetence of Anderpantaloons)

too bad da Utes didn't drop down to Vegas Bowl like we did in the glory days of Bowl games all the time would be interesting to see 3M & the quitter after game handshake & 3M saying I told ya Oregon State played in two Las Vegas Bowls. The first was in 2003. The Las Vegas Bowl had the fifth selection, and Oregon State finished fifth, so the Beavers went to the Las Vegas Bowl. The second was in 2009. The Las Vegas Bowl had the fourth selection, and Oregon State finished third. Oregon went to the Rose Bowl. The Holiday announced that it would invite the Arizona-USC winner, which it did. The Sun Bowl has a no-repeat clause in its contract with the Pac-10/12, which it exercised to invite Stanford over Oregon State. (Oregon State beat Pittsburgh in 2008.) The Las Vegas Bowl selected Oregon State. So "all [of] the time" means once? The most stupidly-decried bowl in that era (by knuckle-dragging Oregon State fans) was the 2007 Emerald Bowl. The Emerald Bowl had the fifth selection, and Oregon State finished third. USC went to the Rose Bowl. Due to some bad luck, Arizona State was not invited to the Fiesta Bowl and went to the Holiday Bowl instead. The Sun Bowl exercised its no-repeat clause to not invite Oregon State. The Sun Bowl also chose to skip over fourth-place UCLA and chose fifth-place Oregon, which had just lost to UCLA and Oregon State in consecutive games. The Las Vegas Bowl had next selection and was obligated to select Oregon State, except that would have involved UCLA repeating again in the Emerald Bowl. Rather than do that, the Emerald and Las Vegas Bowls exercised their option in their contract at the time to trade teams. The Las Vegas Bowl got UCLA, which is about a five-hour drive, and the Emerald Bowl got Oregon State. Today, the Emerald/Redbox Bowl is clearly a better bowl than the Las Vegas Bowl but, at the time, I remember a lot of hand-wringing about not playing BYU in Las Vegas or South Florida in El Paso. Just dumb.
