Flying Pie (?) on Stark and 82nd in PDX is very good. Not sure if it's still there. Big River in downtown Corvallis has decent pizza too. Big River’s pizza is the same as Dream. They just charge more. The original owner of Big River is the owner of Dream. Big River’s food is much better now that Mazama Brewing took over, but the pizza recipe is still the same as Dream

Once, never again...... All crust and no toppings. No toppings? You must’ve ordered off the menu on the wall, most of those have limited toppings and are very ho hum to say the least. I did that at the Portland airport the first time I saw the place, then afterwards found out you can have any toppings you want, and that literally means all of the toppings. Next time I did it was in Bend, it was lunch time and a good portion of people ordered off the wall and the rest loaded up. Night and day differences between the pizzas. They dont one give you tons of any one thing, but by the time you put everything but anchovies and pineapple on top you’ve got a pizza with literally almost an inch of toppings on top. An 11 inch pizza with that much toppings for 8 bucks is an amazing deal. I would not choose to go there for a 4 ot 5 topping pizza, but for a 30 topping pizza it’s a terrific bargain. Corvallis might not be a good town for them to come into, too many kids with huge appetites loading up and a whole bunch of others looking to make a pizza loaded enough to last 3 days. They might not make money here. The first (or one of the first) MOD pizza's is located right next to UW. I'm sure hungry college kids is built into their business plan.

Up near UW there’s a Mexican place I’d love to have here. They have an 11 buck burrito that’s ginormous by most restaurant standards, billed “as big as a baby” www.gorditosmexicanfood.com/about-us/ and people bring their babies in and take photos of them next to the burrito. They have a wall or two lined with photos of babies next to burritos.

When can we talk about WTH is going on with Local Boyz? What is going with Local Boyz? We used to send our "baby" technician out to bring back Local Boyz for everyone - it was a right of passage, but we haven't hired anyone in so long, and I'm not going to pay Munchies to have it delivered.......um, let me think on that

When can we talk about WTH is going on with Local Boyz? Haven't been there for 4-5 months but it was good then. The verdict at our table last week (and the table next to us) is that Da Sauce has been replaced by teriyaki. Going through a renovation too.. Thought maybe it's changing hands but saw the guy (who I presume) is the owner cooking in the back. All I know is I'm on High Alert.

Pat Bailey on the Joe Beaver Show this afternoon to Parker (I'm paraphrasing): Hey, how about our basketball teams? The hotel didn't have the Pac-12 network, but my wife is smarter than I am and she figured out how to stream it on my laptop, so 6 of us were in the room sitting on our beds watching the men's game. We saw the women's game on TV since it was on ESPN.Once again, thanks Larry Smith-Scott.
