How soon do we hear about Brewer? Hearing some not good things about Brewer, apparently he had some trouble with the po-po over the weekend.

Agreed. His history PLUS this indicates a parting of the ways may not be a bad idea.

Jesus, what is this his second felony? This one is not a felony. So he's got that going for him, which is nice.

We could just move him to defense. Seems to have the right mindset?

It's time to say good bye to Marco. If it actually is what it is, yes. But we have all lived through a few too many, maybe it actually isn't what we think it is for anybody to call for anybody's head before the processes we are all entitled to play out. Not just at OSU, but nationally. He was charged, and that is meaningful, but so was Matt Aranzia, So was Brian Banks. So were the duke lacrosse players. How many lives we gotta ruin before we calm down and let the process that gotta happen, happen. If it sticks, you are free to kick him off the team.

Agreed that we should wait for a conviction before making judgment. That being said, a second accusation of similar conduct carries a lot more weight than a first, especially when the first resulted in a plea deal.

Jesus, what is this his second *misdemeanor? Know he has at least one felony. I was curious about this because I thought that felonies disqualified you from a scholarship. Apparently he entered an Alford Plea and after completing 18 months of probation and complying with all court orders, it was reduced to a misdemeanor.

Apparently he entered an Alford Plea and after completing 18 months of probation and complying with all court orders, it was reduced to a misdemeanor. Added: For someone who doesn't want to go google what an Alford Plea is, it is a modified "guilty" plea where the defendant is permitted to maintain his innocence but acknowledges that the prosecution has enough evidence to likely get a conviction. What Brewer pled guilty to was Felony Coercion. From oregon.public.law: This seems like an effort to secure a felony conviction but giving the offender a way out that does not require him to register as a sex offender.
