Hayes was pretty good before his groin injury. Hopefully that's behind him.
Go Beavs!!

Hayes was pretty good before his groin injury. Hopefully that's behind him. Go Beavs!! This reminds me that they allowed bowl games to not count against the four-game redshirt rule. Hayes played four games plus the bowl game and redshirted in 2023, meaning that he is a sixth-year redshirt senior next year. In other news, they need to make that bowl game exception to the four-game rule a permanent rule rather than continuing to pass it right before the bowl games start.

Hayes will be decent for us next season... but I was hoping Connington would stay true or that we could land someone else.

I saw the shmucks got an in state commit. They might be three deep at kicker. I think they try and land 'em just to keep 'em from us 🥴

It would be hilarious if Sappington got beat out and sat the entire season.
Of course he can transfer again after spring practice if it looks like he won't be the starter.

I have a feeling there is going to be plenty of schadenfreude around for us if we want it over the next couple seasons, in general.

Or worse... completely forgotten about as they wallow in the bottom dregs of the newest, worst, power conference with its own serious stability issues. The four that jumped to the Big-12 are probably the only ones that are going to come out no worse for wear. That said, I hate to say it, but Oregon will probably do well next year.

"The four that jumped to the Big-12 are probably the only ones that are going to come out no worse for wear."
Very true. But their schedules are awful. No marquee games at all. They go from playing USC and UCLA every year, and Washington and Oregon almost every year, to Texas Tech and TCU and KSU and Iowa State. Arizona has WVU and Houston at home; ASU gets UCF. Awful.
There is not one Big-12 regular-season game that commands national preseason attention. Yes, BYU-Utah is a fierce rivalry, but no one outside of Utah care about it at all.

Utah might be the favorite to win it.

Utah might be the favorite to win it. If their seventh-year QB is healthy. Rising graduated from high school in 2018 and has received one traditional redshirt, two medical redshirts, and a Covid redshirt. Ridiculous.
