From Mom and Mark K Update on Mike Denison ( beaver camera man). He is now walking without the cane. He and his friends are working on his speech, and when he really concentrates he is able to lift his right arm half way up to his chest plus he was able to move his fingers a little bit. We can all just continue to hope and pray throughout the month with physical therapy he will regain what was lost. If anyone can do it Mike can. The link below is the go fund me page, for anyone that would be interested in helping him. If anyone is interested in sending him a card, his address is Mike and Kerry Denison 2020 NE Stele Ave Corvallis Oregon 97330 Hope your days have been great! Cindy and Mark Click here.—> www.gofundme.com/f/michael-denison-lucky-buckyHi all, Our Fellow beaver fan/ camera guy Mike Denison suffered a massive stroke on Dec. 4 in a hotel room, where he was a alone for close to 18 hours before he was found. Mike as many of you may not know was a camera guy at almost every event at Oregon State just doing what he does taking great pictures for the University. He and his wife Kerry are struggling right now because of this unexpected health problem. So a GoFund me has been set up for him. I ask all of you to donate if you can. If you can’t but know others who are Beavers that might have known of Mike pass this on. If you would like updates on Mike please feel free to email me and I will pass on any information I have on him. Please also include him in your prayers. Thank you, Cindy Kuykendall ( mom K) www.gofundme.com/f/michael-denison-lucky-buckywww.gofundme.com/f/michael-denison-lucky-bucky

Done & done. Get well Lucky. As one of the comments said No one has done more for Beaver Nation. Pure Orange was a place for Beavers to come together. It was a lot of fun......and so is Benny's House! I always tried to get to Mike's tailgater. Nice big spread & friendly folks

Another update from Kerry (Mike's wife):
He check himself in at therapy yesterday while I was parking the truck. I asked him on the way there if he could say his name to check in, he said "No". Well I think he was really thinking about it & said "Michael here" to receptionist before I even got in the building. He also said with his hands that he can drive. We'll check into that next month after we see his neurologist & primary doctor. He's progressing well, just takes time. Thanks for all the prayers & get well wishes. Overwhelmed with all the people that know & care about this wonderful man.
Thanks, Kerry

Another Update:
Mike went to OSU wrestling this past Friday Jan. 31st. His friend that took him said he really seemed to enjoy it & sang the National Anthem word for word. He still is not speaking even partial sentences, so very nice to hear.

Along with Terry I’ve been working with Mike the last few weeks. He’s definitely making progress and does throw out some partial sentences now and then when doing speech exercises. I think he’ll go to quite a bit of baseball coming up and possibly some basketball.

Latest update from Mike's wife:
Michael is working hard to try & get his speech back & the use of his right arm. 20 Rehab appointments for Feb alone. More scheduled for March & April. This past Sunday, he hopped on his riding lawn mower & mowed the backyard. I'm sure it felt very good to him to be able to do that. Next thing he might do, is hop on his tractor. Two things that he enjoys doing at our home. He loves to laugh & play games also. It was great that he went to an OSU wrestling meet & sang the National Anthem word for word. Thanks to everyone for caring about him & prayers/donations, we really appreciate everything people are doing. Mikey's spirit is good. Onward he will go!

Another update from his wife, Kerry:
Michael is doing well. Has speech and occupational therapy a total of 4x a week. He’s really working the right arm to build its strength to hopefully be able to use it to full capacity. Speech is difficult still. Can say a word or two, but still sometimes doesn’t make sense. He’s working hard at it. He went to Depot Bay with some friends, had a great time watching the ocean. Got some nice weather too. He walked 3x a day. Went and listened to music a couple times. Michael was singing along to the songs he knew. He’s getting out and about more. Still positive attitude and many laughs. Thanks again everyone!
