Surprised didn't get a response from the ducklings like "hardly knew the guy, sure there are pictures of him with the head coach and others but we have alot of people that take pictures with the coaches..."

It did. Crystalballs said they cut ties with him "several months ago". Funny how that never made the news. I'd probably say the same thing though.

They actually cut ties with him and pulled the schollie. They knew something was wrong and did the right thing. Kudos to them this time.

Actually, and obviously, he didn't! His mistake was taking his Head Coach’s exhortations too literally.

Perhaps I missed it but a quick internet search showed me zip. The kid wouldn’t update his profile? Tweet relentlessly (as they do) that he’s back on the market? If it’s true I’ll stand corrected, but I’m not buying it.

You have to be careful with stuff like this. Dealing with a minor Someone probably dropped a dime, they did a little checking, and just quietly pulled the offer.

According to what I read on ESPN, this was over a woman. She found someone she liked better and he went after that guy. Popped a few rounds at the better guy and some other guy. Good thing he wasn't a good shot.

I question why there wasn't a word from the kid. Did he just decided to quit football and not go to college? Didn't want anybody to know he was back on the market? Highly unlikely. I'll stand pat.

spud, according to the article he had multiple guns in his crib. Guess he decided that being a banger was better than getting an education and being a jock. Thugs do what thugs do. hole dodged a major bullet. Good for them.

You think that, I think there’s a good chance they’re lying. Good enough for me.

My inclination is to side with Spud on this. No way cristobal dropped him months ago with no word hitting the street.

I get your point. But, when you discover character issues about a minor, your have to be very, very careful and keep your mouths shut. Simply make contact and tell him the offer is gone. More than that and any publicity or press can cause legal issues to bite you in the ass. Working for a public agency, "no comment" was the smart answer and kick it up the chain of command. We'll never know, but I wager they learned something serious and took action. Who knows when.
