This red head kid from velancia. California, I'd like to see us move him over to defense. Just a gut feeling but seems to me with 20 offensive line guys we could swing someone over to defense. He's 6' 1 and 280 right now, freshman.. His picture is on the online roster. Take a look.. Maybe maybe not?

What we really need to know is the hair long or short.

Anderpanties said that too, and cut our OL down to 15-17 players and it was a disaster. Quality starting OL are not a dime a dozen. quality starting OL, at OSU are always going to be guys that take time to develop and always need to be guys that you have for five years and hope you get 2-3 real good years out of them. YOu are always going to lose a guy or two every year. OL is a demanding position and these boys are huge. somebody is blowing out a knee, or breaking a foot. You need a stable on the OL. We should never think "oh, 20 is enough..." It ain't enough.

We should never think "oh, 20 is enough..." It ain't enough. We know that Andersen was a bad coach, but he actually averaged about 16 scholarship OL while here. Smith is averaging about 14. I have been worried that Smith has been skimping on scholarship OL. At the end of his run here Riley was averaging 20 on scholarship. I think having a better OL coach, a better pulse on the team and doing a good job recruiting walkon OL (there are currently 5) have allowed Smith to be more effective with less scholarship OL. The roster currently shows 19 OL.

Another productive, informative thread courtesy of Benny’s House! Well Spud it was just yesterday you were asking me about the 6’3” Gemini at WR. The one that drives the 2006 Honda Accord and is majoring in Sociology. Loves chicken Alfredo and cribbage.. Ricky’s nephew. I think he’s pretty good.
