Former Beaver star linebacker, who had a monster game in the 1985 upset at Washington, and longtime Beaver assistant coach Osia Lewis has died. He'd had liver cancer for the past three years or so. Osia was a great, great guy. He will be missed. His wife Darlene is from Albany. vucommodores.com/sports/football/

Oh man, sad news. He came out to dinner with us in Nashville four years ago, absolute gentleman with some great stories.

Terribly sad. It seems like he was just on the field, bringing some defensive excitement to some not-so-great teams.

Geez, the gypsy life of an assistant coach . 8 programs in 30 years building his resume. Then, finding your spot and getting sick.

How in the world is he 57 years old? It was just yesterday....
RIP Osia
I watch that 85 game from time to time. About once a year. Aune is calling Osia's name constantly
