What a lazy analysis of OSU. They put at least some time outside of Googling the highlights for every other team, not for the Beavs. I guess we should be used to being disregarding by media underlings after 2 winning seasons in the last 10, gotta go prove them wrong.

We were only given enough thought for three sentences. Defund 247 Sports now!

I saw that. No way. Our ceiling might not be high but our floor is a lot higher than that, imo. QB is going to be a strong point and the defense and STs will keep getting better. It's not like we're hemorrhaging from graduation/EEs like Utah and some other teams. Plus we're on the 4 conference road game rotation. A team that wants to go 7-5 doesn't want to see Oregon, Stanford, Utah, USC, etc at home. Those are probably losses anyway, so don't "waste" a home game on em. We have WSU, CAL, UCLA, ZONA, and UO at home. 3-2 there(or better) and 1 conference road win puts us at 4-5 which is middle of the pack every year.

We were only given enough thought for three sentences. Defund 247 Sports now! And three poorly constructed sentences at that. What a novice. Even WSU was a veritable novel in comparison, but the love letter he wrote for Oregon was disgusting. It felt like he may have had to clean up the front of his pants more than once while composing that filth. We get it, they won the conference and have recruited very well. Control your feelings bud.

I think it's a perception thing. Everyone always thinks the sux are good even if they aren't and no matter how good or bad they are they're always overrated. The reverse goes for the Beavs. Even when we were good we would be constantly underrated. I don't get the love for cal. They return 18 starters but lost their best player in about a decade. People are overlooking coaching continuity and changes on teams. I think that will play a big part with the covid thing. It will be hard for the teams with new coordinators to install their systems.

Well our recruiting is so so. We have to,prove them wrong. I think Oregon will be really good. I happen to not care other than means of comparing recruiting. We lost Lemon and are still in hunt for a running back.

The intern has WSU projected to finish higher than OSU. If recruiting is your thing, not only did their own publication have OSUs recruiting class ranked higher than WSU, WSU will be replacing a legend HC with a guy who has never led a P5 team, their 5000 yard QB, and other key offensive pieces. Yeah I know we lost to Hawaii and WSU last year. But WSU is not going to be better under Rolovich than Leach. Will OSU be better than WSU? Who knows, but I like our chances.

Just saying zI am not optimistic. I hope for 6 wins. Our recruiting each Year is not near the top in PAC 12 North. New QB so likely not as efficient. I think with the outbreak we will be hard pressed and not profitable. Attendance may be half or less.

Compared to the national championship and Heisman hype I would say they were overrated.

But I think 3 or 4 other north teams are breaking in new QBs too, and won't every school have to deal with half empty stadiums? As for recruiting are you factoring in transfers? My enthusiasm stems from just watching the growth from year one to year two under Smith. It was a marked improvement on both sides of the ball. Oregon State was one play from making a bowl game last year. Depth is vastly improved. There are playmakers on both sides of the ball. Our coaching staff is solid across the board. We have one of the best defenders in the conference, one of the best LB corps in the conference. one of the best RBs in the conference, a stable of good young receivers, and we also get back a few impact guys who didnt play last year. Man I'm getting jacked just thinking about it! Go Beavs!

I think with the outbreak we will be hard pressed and not profitable. Attendance may be half or less. Not profitable? The athletic program loses money or is on the verge of it pretty much every every year, but football makes money, a lot of it. IF the NCAA could somehow get a title 9 waiver and just run football and men's and women's basketball for one year every school would probably be able to pay coaches in all sports and be in the black at 1/3rd attendance. The problem would be in paying support staff and scholarships (for schools that aren't allowed to skip tuition for athletes by their state) in all sports. I think the new QB may be a surprise. Jake was efficient, but Tristan was no slouch when put into action. He, or anyone that can actually beat him out, should do reasonably well this year for a first year starter.

Just win, baby. Perceptions will take care of themselves.
