Simonton and Hass are among 78 Football Bowl Subdivision players on the ballot. They would join former Beavers in the College Football Hall of Fame that include Heisman Trophy recipient Terry Baker, Bill Enyart, Tommy Prothro, and Dennis Erickson. The 2021 class will be announced early next year with the induction ceremony in New York City Dec. 7, 2021.

Terry Baker was not inducted to the Hall until 1982, the 20th anniversary of his Heisman. Tommy Prothro was inducted in 1991. Bill Enyart was not inducted to the Hall until 2011. Erickson was inducted last year. Hass and Simonton have the opportunity to be the first Beaver players in nine years.

Damn it was fun watching him play! Good times. Just wish that he had had a better opportunity in the NFL. It really is luck of the draw - where you land, how deep the team is at receiver, the QB trusting you and targeting you, etc.

Btw, naturally there is a ton of love for Hass. Rightfully so! But Kenny Simonton was the man! A great runner that could do it all. So great!

Yep. He was also deceptively strong after contact. But the spin moves and jukes, a thing of beauty.
