The Oregon Throwdown
Concise, adaptable, intense, memorable.
(etymology from the historical phrase "throw down the gauntlet" meaning to issue a challenge).
Per the Urban Dictionary "Throwdown" can mean; challenge, fight, dunk a basketball or to throw a huge party.

At first I suggested the Platypus Bowl also, after thinking about it I have changed my mind.
It needs to be solid simple and memorable... So my choice is now...
The Cascade Bowl
I do think the platypus trophy should be given to the winning school though!

I think what you have to consider is that the Civil War encompasses all sports, so calling it a bowl would make the name not applicable to basketball or baseball etc.

Then Cascade Cup or Cascade Series. The word Cascade relates the the Mt. Chain. What do you suggest the Hazelnut Cup?

The Cascades go up into Washington, so as good as it sounds, it is too broad in my opinion. And doesn’t MLS already have the Cascade Cup? I would mind seeing something Willamette related. The War in/on the Willamette. Or just Valley related. The Valley Clash.

I can't even think of a "turf" name, but our area produces something like 3/4ths of the grass seed in the US. Could be appropriate.

Too Italian But I do like the alliteration I think you have violated all kinds of patent laws by quoting a copyrighted, registered and trademarked name. Notice how I deleted TVV?
