Don’t you have some OAN or Bill Mitchell to watch? I've never watched either one, thanks.
You really think women (or blacks, or ....) have a single monolithic mindset?
How "progressive" of you. Lol
provide a link to where I said that. Another reading comprehension fail.

It is easy to see historically that the values and platforms of the Democrat and Republican parties switched many times. So it is laughable to say that Lincoln was a Republican as we see Republicans today. The party has changed several times. Some scholars believe the 80’s/90’s iteration of Democrat and Republican is the last and most recent shifting of the parties. This means that the defining characteristics of what we call Democrat and Republican during the civil rights days were different, so it is not surprising that Republicans voted for civil rights back then. The parties are not static. I wonder, though, if there really is a Republican Party left that looks anything like Reagan’s Republicans. This is just my personal thought based upon the last two Republican presidents who were/are substantially different in character and demeanor from Reagan. The ^ above ^ revisionist history is your typical "progressive" NOT taking accountability for the FACT that the KKK was started by DEMOCRATS. Keep changing that narrative and keep moving those goals posts all you want. NOTHING is going to change that FACT. Lol
If it is a mark of shame on the democrats for starting the KKK, oh, how surprised you’re going to be when you find out which party supports the KKK now! See? Who the heck cares about the origins of the KKK and which party bought into that hate filled rhetoric? Except you, no one. It doesn’t absolve conservatives of their close relationship with the KKK today. LOLOLOLOL. Keep trying.

How bout them Beavers?!?! Lordy.... the dividers are winning (lefties, righties, north & south) I'm going 2 play nice in the sand box & still believe we all have way more in common then not It's still a great day to be a Beaver! I hope the Beavers get to play Oklahoma State in 2020. That would mean football for players, coaches, and fans. The pandemic has no sense of politics. A virus looks for a host. And is driven to propagate via transmission of infection - finding more hosts to perpetuate itself. For a a "form of life" with no brain, it is certainly focused on its simple objective - BE. And that is the simple life lesson the virus can teach humans - BE. BE here now. BE a life form that wants to perpetuate life ... which means finding the best way to BE. The human brain can conceive of both mortality and how to live with that fate. Maybe it is time to return to the most basic principles that can perpetuate life for humanity. Maybe insulting others and demeaning their beliefs doesn't feed our souls ... Maybe.

So all women have the same interests? Which interests should I let my mother and wife know they voted against? You and beavs6 have some reading comprehension issues. are they happy that they voted for trump? My comprhension is just fine. Your taking responsibility for your personal actions/words...not so much. Then you decided to double down after I asked if you really agreed wholeheartedly with the former 1st ladies statement.

I have a question. At some point, isn’t the accomplishment of finally getting our first woman president significant enough to all American women, not only those alive but future women, too) that it would be enough for Michelle to have made that statement? Some moments or accomplishments can actually rise above politics. You are not wrong in that American women vote for many reasons. I personally know some Catholic women who voted for Trump simply to get rid of abortion. One issue voters. I imagine there are others who voted for Trump in order to improve their stock portfolios. I also assume that there were women who voted for Trump because of his hard stance on immigration and foreigners. But Michelle is not wrong either. There was a moment for women to finally make it to the White House, which would have been a tremendous accomplishment for young girls and future leaders of America. It is possible to hold both views as true.

Your reading comprehension is top notch. However, try reading the words and taking them at face value, instead of extending the meaning or intent beyond what is actually there. The extrapolation is not necessary. Better?
