I am an old QB, but I believe in the old cigarette commercial, "It's what's up front that counts." How do we look on the OL and DL? On the OL, I am cautiously optimistic but the DL, I have no clue. What do you folks think?

I believe DL play hinges on the ability to get quality minutes from BOTH Whittley and Reichner.
OL has plenty of upperclassmen and one hell of a good coach. It does have a huge hole to fill on the left side however. Brandel and big Gus anchored that side for a long time.
Go Beavs!!

DL will be solid, anchored by one of the better linebacker corps we've had in a while. OL is a "proof is in the pudding" situation. Watched Ken S get squished his senior year due to a new bunch of OL that needed a lot of experience - we have a great running back this year, but even the best can't run to daylight when there is none.

I agree, I'm more concerned about the OL than DL.
DL, has more depth than we have had in the past 5 years or so and some JC transfers. If that group stays healthy they will be the best DL group we have seen in a short memory, really short.

We lost some legit talent, but offsetting that loss is the fact we have, in my opinion, the best OL coach on the west coast and probably top 5 in the nation. Kipper is a good one at LT. Eldridge is pretty experienced, injuries notwithstanding. The rest are pretty big question marks, and that is a bit scary, but we have loads of potential up and down the roster and 3 years into this regime and scheme.
