there are still problems testing everyone that presents at an ER. Anyone can schedule a an appointment today if they want to get tested, many places don't even require an appointment, and you're claiming people in the ER can't get tested? Give me a break. Get TestedI have checked online with the Corvallis Clinic and Good Samaritan Medical, and they both require a doctor's note for a test, and they can't get results for "several days" - only thing you can do is self-quarantine if you have an employer that will let you, and well, if you turn out negative, you need another test from many employers as a confirmation given the number of false positives and negatives - it's not a level playing field from area to area, and no one is saying when it will be.

Daughter in Seattle had a fever and could not get healthcare provider to give her a test until she met with her primary care doctor. She found a free test site in an alley in Seattle that was apparently set up to test all the protesters they had several weeks ago. No charge for test, but then she had to wait 6 days to get the result. She self-quarantined in her apartment, but you know that a lot of people just aren't disciplined enough to stay home while waiting for the results. Turned out she was negative.

I’d argue there’s a fair shot at some kind of a bowl season IF the NCAA has it’s teams actually play 10 games. By December a vaccine is a real possibility and if they haven’t shut things down yet I’d bet a lot of bowls would be a go. It wouldn’t shock me to see a one to three game season this year. They should play the rivalry games first this one season. I just don't understand why college football players would deserve firsts at a vaccine over all the other people who really need what's available. By the start of next season perhaps, but as much as I want to see the Beavs play, I want my niece the doctor and my niece the nurse and all my friends and relatives that are at high risk get those shots first. I don't think the football players will get first shot at the vaccine. I think IF the season lasts 10 weeks it'll be because Covid isn't a problem among the teams. Bowls would be likely simply because of TV money, but with a vaccine available a lot more people might be willing to to to a bowl game as well. The shots should go to health care providers, those at risk, then probably teachers next.

The City of Seattle has two testing sites set up. Drive thru, appointment suggested, not required. I had a potential exposure situation. Drove over to the test site, a former DEQ vehicle emmisions test center. In and out in 20 minutes, no charge. Had results back in just under 48 hours.

I'm not arguing with what you found online, and I'm not sure where she was tested, but my wife had a friend get tested a few days ago in Corvallis with same day results. She had been in contact with a coworker that tested positive. I'm not sure if that played any role in her ability to get tested or the quick results.
