Rapid testing is an X-factor that can change the landscape. Test on Friday, results before the game on Saturday takes the risk down several orders of magnitude. I guess the questions we have to ask, is dedicating a rough 13,000 tests at a minimum of per week, so we can enjoy football an appropriate use of resources? I don't know the answer to that. Who suffers because football players and coaches are getting the rapid and premium tests. Is it an older patient waiting to be discharged? A person waiting on a needed surgery? Or do we have ample capacity and it is no worry? Again, I don't know the answer to that. It also doesn't solve the fan problem, but I am likely watching all my games on TV this year no matter what, so whatever.

They can make millions of these tests per month, so availability isn't an issue - but this type of test has a lower level of accuracy, which means the average person would need to take several, and/or take the more accurate but slower to analyze test if a positive result shows up at any time during the use of the quick test.

The only thing the left coast does well is increase taxes and welfare slavery That must be why California, Washington and Oregon are among the three most-desirable states to live in, and why housing values in all three states are through the roof. I hate to break it to you, but one of the largest tax hikes in US history was pulled off by your friend Ronald Reagan, when he virtually doubled the payroll tax.

But you know, somethingsomething socialist, communists, bankruptcy. Whatever. Despite being 1 of 50, it makes up close to 20% of all of America's total GDP.

It's really not that hard to find the actual numbers - 20% is certainly inflated: "While 12 percent of Americans live in California, the state contributed 14.6 percent to GDP in 2018." Certainly a net positive, but not 20%, and it being 1 of 50 is not the important number - it having 12% of the population is.

Cali for the first time ever a couple of years' ago now has net migration out of that state, and I am fully convinced that trend will accelerate. Ad what Kate and Jay are doing on multiple fronts in the NW, and we will not be far behind. The majority of people moving to Oregon are coming from even worse states, but I am sure we are capable of catching up - lol

To tack on to beaverbeliever said, California's GDP growth in 2019 was 15th in the country behind Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. That is behind the three states that touch California and the five states that touch those three states. Moreover, California imports approximately 26% of its energy. California imports more energy than the two largest net importing states combined: Ohio and Virginia. The states surrounding California subsidize California's energy needs. And California's energy rates are still almost double what they are in the surrounding three states. California also imports water from Arizona, Nevada and Oregon. California gets 4.4 million acre feet of water per year (more than 10% of its total usage) from the Colorado River alone. Without the other states around to prop California up, California would not be California. The state is an unsustainable economic mirage.
