First time I've seen AA's heath condition actually specified. Long been suspected as the issue, of course.
It's also weird to be talking about incoming 6'1 and 6'5" guards ... you wouldn't think twice if those were heights of incoming men's recruits at the guard position ... I mean, 6'5" guard in the women's game just seems like a typo.
In any case, just great to have something to talk about!!

One of our great posters on this site talks a bit about "coach talk" and phrases you here them say quite often about players. A couple things I noticed here, SR mentioned Sasha's moter, which was also a comment used by Jonas.
The comment that caught my eye in this interview was regarding Ellie when SR said "Ellie is going to have a massive impact on our program.”
Ellie just has great all around talent. I've excited to see what she does for the Beavs this year.
I'm also very curious as to what Jelena may add. I don't see her getting a lot of minutes this season, but SR gave her some very nice praise and has given me a lot of hope that she will have a very good career for the Beavs.

She is a 6 ft ( 5-star ) guard. Players get rated by stars and she has a five star rating.

Thoughts on depth charts? Maybe:
PG: Aleah Goodman, Ana Faustino, Noelle Mannen SG: Sasha Goforth, Jasmine Simmons SF: Ellie Mack, Savannah Samuel PF: Taya Corosdale, Jovana Subasic C: Taylor Jones, Jelena Mitrovic
Lots of players who can play lots of positions makes it a little more difficult.

There's always the dilemma between best 5 players on the court vs. trying to fit players into positions. During his time at OSU Rueck has used a lot, I'd say predominantly, 3 guard lineups, sometimes even 4 guards. I have a hard time seeing 2 guards and 3 forwards/posts. Simmons is one of the few returning experienced players, she might find her way into the starting lineup. She's shown some flashes of being a very good player, it just hasn't been consistent. She's always had a bunch of really good players in front of her taking up most of the playing time.

Wonder where he got the idea Savannah was ranked the #29 recruit; she wasn't in ESPN's top 100.

Rueck is always encouraging and optimistic, but when he says Mack's impact on the program is going to be "massive" it makes me think he's landed a really good one.... I'm also impressed with his upbeat take on Jelena and her improvement after a year in Corvallis... If Mack and Mitrovic are the impact players Rueck thinks they are, the Beavs are looking at an impressive roster this year.
Shifting gears: I thought Eggers retired. In what publication was this article published??? Thanks. GO BEAVS!!
