I for one, em excited 2 come onto here & not see the same disagreements in every thread
Covid 19 is for the weak vs Covid 19 is real
Lefties vs Righties
My facts are right vs nope mine are and I'm taking my ball and goin home
Regardless when it is.... I'm sure excited to chat about
Beavs vs insert team name here
Our little sports site has turned into what all the diverders want..... division
I come here with one common thing in mind ..... we all enjoy supporting Oregon State athletics. I can't wait to break down why we didn't go for it 4th and 2 or chatting about a great defensive stand. There's been a reason why I don't post much more. I just refuse 2 let the dividers make me take the bait
Since the purpose of a college is to educate people - why do athletes get daily testing but the general student body doesn't? I love football, season ticket holder for decades but entertainment is hardly as important as school. Asking for a friend.
As a matter of practicality, you can get a college degree remotely/online and have been able to do so for years. It's pretty darned impossible to play an actual football game without being there in person. Also, as a matter of practicality, testing 100 kids at one location daily can actually be accomplished, not so sure the logistics testing 25,000 or more kids at even dozens of locations around campus could be accomplished.
Testing athletes is doable, testing everyone isn't. I guess one could debate the issue of "if one group can't be done, the other group shouldn't be done" but in life, and in college, not everyone gets to do everything. Not everyone is an athlete, and you could debate the whole athlete vs "normal" student services issue without Covid even existing.

Absolutely Agree! I relish the day that the biggest thing to argue about is that damned 4th and 2!

Maybe we should start a thread about in-game music selection! Ha ha

its not about how many you can test. it simply comes down to the ability to extract money from students without holding classes but not being able to extract money from the football program if they are not playing. it has nothing to do with doing the right thing its all about the kwan. education is not the top priority. the state has made that abundantly clear.
I frankly wish we would bring this song back to the football games. Does it have to be the 4th quarter song? No, just play it.
We need moar chainsaw!!!
It was really catching on until they played it when the team was BEHIND. They should play a high energy song prior to 4th quarter, the mistake was trying to mix/tie the team identity to a particular song and continue to use it even when losing against USC. That move basically linked the song with losing and it suddenly became embarrassing, don’t think they ever played it again.
