I seem to remember a young Sean Mannion who had a great first year starting in 2012. Mannion actually started games in 2011. Katz was the presumed starter going in to 2011. Katz was coming off injury from 2010, he played poorly against Sacramento St.and was replaced by Mannion. Good reminder.

Did year 3 really count? And how many QBs played last year for us? I seem to remember a young Sean Mannion who had a great first year starting in 2012. I guess I misunderstood your post. I thought you were commenting on Smith’s coaching, since this is year 4. But I question how 2020 counts, or how much it counts, due to Covid. Then, I seemed to recall having three different quarterbacks throw for us last year. Not sure how Mannion fits in. Maybe you’re suggesting that Smith, after inheriting a pretty inept team, ought to be able to recruit a freshman like Mannion. I disagree with that idea. We need to be a winning team before we can convince Mannion-esque quarterbacks to show up. By the by, Mannion’s little brother is doing pretty well throwing for Mountain View high. Might need to keep an eye on him.

Mountain Side HS. Mountain View is in Bend. Mountain Side is in Beaverton TuHS vs Mountainside would be a great battle! TuHS = Tualatin? Mountainside would be crushed. They are 4-3 although 3-1 with Ws vs: 0-7 Southridge 4-3 Sunset 3-4 Beaverton 3-4 Sherwood / nonleague Versus the "big guns" like Tualatin: 13-30 Tigard 16-49 Westview 7-40 LakeO 6-1 Jesuit 0-7 Aloha left... so 5-4/4-2 probably and around a #18 seed. TuHS has been tough. Only a 9 pt loss to LakeO. Prob be a top 3 seed. Theoretically you are in good shape to get your wish if both win Rd 1 and are like... 1 vs 16 2 vs 18 3 vs 19 Ok I keep up with HS and was bored!
