Well, that's better than 7 or 7:30 in my world. It sure was nice to go to a game Saturday in the middle of the (sunny) day, and get out in the daylight. Except for you know....

decent time..I didn't know they booked the two weeks out.. They do - but the networks have the ability to keep a couple of the games each week in a holding pattern.

Unless the TV contract has changed recently, the networks have the ability to keep all games in a holding pattern for one week out of the year. Otherwise, they have to set times at least 12 days in advance. All Pac-12 games are set through the 23rd. The most likely weeks for a delayed time release are weeks 9 (@ California) and 11 (Stanford), because those are the two remaining weeks where there are no Friday gams and all 12 teams play.

I'm liking that Utah is playing ASU this week. and then the week after they play us they get UCLA. Talk about a trap game. Now I'm just starting an argument.
I feel like since Utah joined the Pac it has always been a tough match up but I will be watching on Saturday to get my scouting report ready to go.
Go BEAVS.

Our bye was perfect, being exactly half way through our season. Utah and their fans hate 2 teams in the Pac12: Southern Cal & Arizona St. The Utes just worked over USC and now have the Sun Devils, which should be a "high adrenaline" game for both sides. Lets see if they can sustain the energy for 3 straight games, plus after our game they get UCLA at home. Our team should have plenty of motivation. We have lost 5 in a row to Utah. The last time they were in Corvallis was 2019, they put a beat down on the Beavs 52-7. Total yardage was like 500 yds to 200 yds, it was a horrible massacre. I can't predict a victory over Utah, but I expect us to have a lot of energy and enthusiasm come Oct 23rd.

If they come out of there with a victory, they’ll be looking around at who’s next. If they get defeated by ASU, they’ll probably focus hard on us. We have to be ready for them whether they are ready for us or not.

I also hope that Arizona State beats Utah in a soul-crushing manner in octuple overtime.

On paper and in watching Utah is the best team OSU will have faced this season. Not the most talented, but the team that has plenty and a staff that might get the most out of what they have.
Unless they get beat up physically and have key injuries vs ASU, OSU will have to play the best they have all season. Certainly several levels better than any previous home game this season.
It's a huge game to set up the remainder of the season. I don't think OSU "has" to win it, but the offense and certainly the defense need to compete at a high high level on a more consistent basis.
If so the roadies at Cal and Boulder should be confidence building Ws. As those two are must wins finishing with Furd, ASU, @ucks.
Hopefully JS's public confidence in Tibs is rewarded.

Barring a host of injuries, I agree that Utah is the best team that OSU has faced all year. How aren't they the most talented, though, is my question? Can you please elucidate? Whether it's a must-win is kind of based upon what you believe Oregon State's ceiling is in 2021. To me, all of the rest of the games look winnable with the right game-plan and execution. I agree with everything else.

But I would rather be an asshole than I a mother f#*king Duck.

It is this simple. If Nolan is a head case and/or Tibesar can’t figure out how to stop Utah like he failed against WSU, OSU will not be in the game.
