Without the West side, the capacity will be under 30k So the visiting teams (including the *ucks) won’t have people in the first rows heckling them next season.

One nice thing about when we complete the Reser project - When finished, the oldest part of Reser will be newer than the newest part of Autzen. About 40% of Autzen is still the original 1967 earth berm construction.

If anyone can post daily pictures of the west side tear down/current happenings on the west side since the we cam isn’t up yet. That’d be awesome!

They are doing utility prep work in the parking lot, cleaning out what's underneath the grandstand, emptying the press box, etc.

My friend called and asked about his straight bench seats and was told no. Another missed opportunity by the great OSU marketing dept! I would have bought mine. We don't need no stinkin' permission. What we should have done is what Cleveland did after the Browns' final game at Cleveland Stadium, tear them motherf%#*ers out and take them home. Hell, we tore up the old turf after the 1998 Civil War game concluded. I still have my framed patch and another piece out in my garage somewhere. What a game, what an ending and what a celebration that was!!

Everything that can be salvaged (metal bleachers/seatbacks, railings, chairback seats, press box fixtures and glass, metal siding on the back of the grandstand, rest-room plumbing fixtures, etc.) will be removed before the implosion. Then after they bring it down they'll just have to pick up the concrete chunks and send it off to a landfill or whatever they do with that stuff these days.
