Riley’s disastrous mishandling of the Alamo Bowl is what really did him in for me. You’re not wrong When I lost faith in Riley was the Cougar game where Quiz got body slammed on our sideline and not only Riley but the whole team responded with a collective yawn. And no PF either. It was flagrant. I believe it was the same quarter where our defense got apparently confused and decided to stand and watch as WSU scored a TD on a long pass. It wasn’t just the CB it was the whole team. To this day I’ve never seen a team collectively just quit on a play like that. I was apoplectic. I vowed to not to renew my season tix but I did.

Quizz got body slammed on the track and the Beavs got whipped 31-14 on Dad's weekend 2010. The whole defense was caught watching Banker's call from the sideline when the ball was snapped in 2014.

2008 for sure. I think that everyone appreciated 2009. But the lack of a win in both games made the dark days of 2010-2011 darker. If Oregon State had just held on to a nine-point second half lead in 2009, the fire Riley crowd may never have gotten so numerous and vocal, and, maybe, we don't have BDC blunder into interfering with staff decisions. Heck, if Oregon State had won in 2009, maybe we keep Keith Heyward after 2011. Heyward still has to be on the short list of guys I would want Smitty to consider at DC, in case Bray ever leaves. Heyward is tooling around at UNLV right now. Heyward? Yes, he’s really crushing it at UNLV…😆

Meant to say KHJ is an elite recruiter. When Sarkisian stole him for more money I think it hurt our recruiting for several years. He played with Jonathan so I wonder if a job offer has ever been extended but Bray is clearly a great coordinator and KHJ is not.

People like to find the dark clouds thru the silver lining with Mike Riley. If you look at what he did for the program, he should have a statue built.

Just a tackle 2 steps out of bounds. Which is not all that unusual in a college football game. It certainly deserved a penalty.

They were 2-10 this year and 4-7 this year and that likely will be 5-7 after UNLV beats Nevada. 33.5 ypg fewer in 2022 than in 2021 and that will probably go down after playing Nevada, as well. In fact, UNLV stands a great chance of going bowling at 5-7 with a win over Nevada, because their APR is 984. And that is impressive, because UNLV has not been to a bowl game since the Heart of Dallas Bowl (now known as the Servpro First Responder Bowl) back in 2013. So, crushing it? Yeah, Heyward's crushing it in his first year.

Smitty's 5-7 2019 season was not crushing it?

No. 5-7 is never crushing it UNLV has pretty much always been bad. Less sucky is not crushing it. 5-7 is "less sucky?" Praise from Caesar! Jake Luton's senior year? Less sucky. Jermar Jefferson's last full year? Less sucky. Isaiah Hodgins? Less sucky. Noah Togiai? Less sucky. Blake Brandel, Clay Cordasco, and Nathan Eldridge? Less sucky. Andrzej Hughes-Murray? Less sucky. Jalen Moore? Less sucky. Daniel Rodriguez? Less sucky. Thanks for coming out guys and putting together Oregon State's best season in six years, and giving Oregon State something to build on for the future, the light at the end of one long, dark, and seemingly never-ending tunnel. You were all collectively a flaming pile of dog poo to Smails, but...........Y'know, that dude is a whiny b. I would just ignore him. Thanks 2019 Oregon State Beavers! You crushed it!
