I saw Nother one that had OSU at 16 and 4 other Pac 12 teams ranked above it.
5 in top 16 woukd be quite impressive from where Pac 12 was just two years ago
That its all cyclical thing couldn't be happening at a better time for Pac 12

If PAC 12 continues its upswing, then who knows? maybe multiple playoff teams.

Joel Klatt was on Cowherd's show this morning and talking about next year and the impact of the transport portal he said "Here's a Cinderella for next year because they just won 10 games...Oregon State might be really good next year" .... but wet-blanket Cowherd pooh-poohed it because in his typical fashion he is "over the Cinderella story and just going for favorites" like he usually does saying only the typical blue-blood teams like Alabama / Georgia / Ohio State / Michigan / USC (he definitely is a freakin homer for the Trojans now) should be in the playoffs because ratings blah blah blahh

I'm sure we'll probably drop the "others receiving votes" section by the time the real pre-season rankings roll around.

Team has a lot of momentum and is noticed by a lot of pundits. The additon DJU alone will boost them quite a bit.

DJU represents the highest rated quarterback we've ever recruited. Ever Chiles is the highest rated since Derek Anderson. Derek Anderson became a beaver 2 seasons after the fiesta bowl win. DJU recruited him self within weeks of the Vegas bowl win. Love it!!

I agree with this. A top-20 team humiliating a (usually) top-flight SEC team at a neutral site. And the starting quarterback from Clemson transfers there. There is going to be a lot of buzz there. The issue is how to rank Oregon, Oregon State, USC, Utah, and Washington. It would strain belief that five Pac-12 teams can be ranked in the top 20 preseason. Maybe. Next season is going to be crazy, though. Only Oregon State and USC do not play each other of those five. That might give both a leg up over the other three. Dunno. Only the CFP poll really matters, though.

Derek Anderson signed to play at Oregon State about a month after the 2001 Fiesta Bowl.

And I think Derek actually verballed some time earlier, like during the summer of 2000.

How was DJU rated coming out of high school? I remember in Anderson's year he was something like 5th (quarterbacks in the country). Also in his year were two other state of Oregon guys ranked in the top-10. Clemmons and a guy from Aloha (Nic Costa?) that ended his career as a Portland State receiver.
