I should have edited this IMMEDIATELY. The "we" isn't correct. I had nothing to do with it. I haven't been a season ticket holder since '14. I can take NO CREDIT for JS and the rest of the staff getting this great player to attend OSU. I HAD to correct it. Go Beavs!

Chiles is literally 2 years and a month or two younger than the kid in the news (Rashada) that's another top prospect this year. Aidan has a lot of room for growth, assuming he sticks around it's going to be fun watching him develop.

84-88. I went to the games even though it was tough sledding. They were free though! My Freshman year was ‘84. Lived on the Ozone (4th) of Wilson Hall. Vague memories of going to “Parker” Stadium with a Bota Bag of Jack Daniels. They pretty much let us in sober, drunk or stoned. Good times.

OSU played Stanford on the Saturday before classes began. I had just joined a fraternity and several older members handed me two 5 gallon jars of beer to take into the stadium. I feared that I would be expelled before my first day of class. But the gatekeepers looked at the jars with the golden liquid inside, saw that there was no label that designated alcohol, and sent me into the game. College life was going to be pretty interesting.

How did you manage to carry 75 pounds of beer? One in each hand. They were these plastic jugs that the fraternity got usually condiments in. They were given to me just short of the gate. I recall them being 5 gallons, but 75 pounds sounds heavy, more than I remember. I could be wrong about their size; it was 36 years ago. They were way bigger than a one-gallon milk carton, though. Maybe they were only 3 gallons...if one of my brothers remembers and can contradict me, I would understand. Not trying to lie or impress anybody by the size, more the fact that I was obviously carrying a lot of beer into the stadium which felt, at the time, like it carried a lot of trouble. It was just a lot of beer to carry into the stadium thinking that I would get busted right at the gate.

So awesome!!! Unfortunately, humans f%#* everything up, so now we have to have our s%#t in clear plastic bags. I miss the pre internet/cell phone days.....I must be turning into a codger.
