Maybe they could accidently implode/explode Snell while they're at it. They better get on it. If they wait too long it’ll be designated as a historical structure and be untouchable. It’s probably close to 70 years old right now. As the old saying goes, “nobody loves 50 year old buildings but everyone loves 100 year old buildings”. Wenigar is the ugliest building along Monroe time for it to be gone.

They yellow thing in the middle of the picture must be the base for a construction crane?

They yellow thing in the middle of the picture must be the base for a construction crane? Yep. That's a lot of north campus parking to displace. Even eventually demolishing Winegar and expanding that parking lot won't make up the difference. There needs to be some kind of north campus parking structure, maybe not as big as the one by Reser, but something.

They could build a parking structure on Washington 11th to 15th. It would provide parking for the dorms and the administration building.

Don't seed another garage so close to the existing one. Can’t go much more, south. That’s for sure. More shuttles (in “diverse” locations) would help, too.

How many parking spots do you need for north campus? And at a 7 to 12 million cost for a parking structure is that an investment that we need for north campus? Or does the university build a structure on the south side of campus and run shuttles thru campus on regular intervals? And they could sell parking passes for sporting events similar to the surface lots near Gill, Reser, and Goss. That would be a good conversation for the leadership to have concerning parking on campus. Maybe OSU could build the parking structure on the area 14th to11th Monroe to Jefferson on one of last natural grass areas on Campus. They have already built over the area on the east side of campus 11th to 9th Monroe to Madison. Was there a net gain for parking when they built the bookstore and parking structure over the old surface lot?

My (not a construction person) thought is that the site dictates vertical materials/transport/hoisting etc. Reser had the benefit that a large triangular mobile crane geometry could work - parking lots surrounded the west side quite conveniently. No open space to speak of for large triangular mobile cranes along Monroe or to the east/west of the building site. Maybe someone with construction expertise can tell us :-). Go Beavers!

The roof is on the new hitting complex at Goss. The building is going up quickly and looking good.
