In doing a cursory search, it looks like the CW network is streaming on Hulu, Youtube and DirectTV. Until now - never heard of it. It's had a bunch of popular stuff over the years... Smallville, Supernatural, the 100, Flash, Supergirl, Lone Tree Hill, Vampire Diaries, Riverdale, Jane the Virgin, Arrow, Gilmore Girls and many more... Not exactly aimed at the BBC, PBS, ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN crowd. I watched several years worth of Smallville on Oceaic Cable when I lived in Kona over a decade ago, Xfinity carries it, and they have over the air stations all over the place so it potentially eyeballs from just about every market in the country. I think it could actually be a great place for OSU and WSU to end up for 2 seasons, especially considering the odds of ESPN or Fox Sports guaranteeing showing every home game are probably very very low.

CW was originally CBS and Warner Bros CW is the merger of UPN (which was owned by CBS) and the WB back in 2006. Nexstar purchased 75% of the CW in October 2022 and has been actively been purchasing up sports content, including LIV Golf, the ACC, WWE NXT, and the NASCAR Xfinity Series, beginning about 14-15 months ago.

Are they doing the production or just distributing pac 2 production? They have been having Raycom continue to produce ACC content. It is assumed that they will utilize the Pac-12 Network to produce the Pac-2 content.

Yeah, CW is relatively hip with the Millennial crowd. They have several superhero orientated shows with a following, and Supernatural ran like 15 seasons or something crazy. CW is solidly known to anybody about 40ish and under I would say. Honestly, for a "alternative" channel that is not CBS, NBC, Fox or ESPN, this isn't a bad pull at all. They also have solid streaming services.

Your national tv exposure is ours (MWC teams) as well. Hope we get decent ratings.

In doing a cursory search, it looks like the CW network is streaming on Hulu, Youtube and DirectTV. Until now - never heard of it. I used to watch old western and other reruns on it. Frankly it is better distribution than the PAC Network ever was but many won't just go there to see what is on. I have youtube TV...when I turn on my TV I am presented a slate of viewing options, usually sports. Or I just click the sports link and it shows an entire slate of yelevised sports streaming at that particular moment. I have not one clue which network I am watching, these days I rarely pay attention to that aspect, perhaps I'll recognize the broadcast team and associate it to the network. I know that's not the norm at this point, but it's going in that direction with streaming and even traditional cable offers similar options these days. I guess my point is...as long as it's on TV, I don't give AF which network it's playing on. So if OSU is doing well, or it's a big time matchup, OSU will draw hard core viewers regardless if it's on CW or ESPN.

Access in the west will be fine

We have You-Tube TV and just about everything else. We're cutting Sling loose as soon as baseball season is over - the only reason we have it is for pac12 channels. You-Tube TV has CBS Sports channel, FS-1 and CW so that looks like a good source for at least Beaver football next year. I think I remember watching quite a bit of MWC on FS-1 last year. Maybe the CW can steal Papadakis for some games - he's one of my favorite broadcasters.

I get the CW channel as part of my Xfinity package and have been satisfied with what I have seen.

Don't want to be a downer, but I'm just keeping my fingers crossed we can actually get all of OSU's MWC road games on TV. From what I'm seeing, CBS is contracted to broadcast 2 MWC games a week and Fox is contracted to show the BSU home games for football. That's not a lot of coverage, hopefully other networks will fill in the gaps.
