While a lot of the focus will be on his musical collaborations with Michael Jackson, I’d like to spotlight these collaborations
arranging and conducting with Sinatra (& the Count Basie band)
producing & arranging this astonishing Lesley Gore single
Writing, arranging and producing for Fred and Lamont Sanford
And of course this one
And even if your musical tastes don’t lean to dance music, songs like this seem almost irresistible.
and to close out my Quincy Jones selection I can’t think of a better one than this one.

His past indiscretions, comments, actions are well documented online. I’ve followed his musical career pretty closely (as you can tell) but don’t know anything about his personal life. Just not interesting to me. |

Just not interesting to me. Me either. But, when at times it's spread across certain music based sites sometimes you click. The talented and famous aren't immune from the ills of society. Including allegations, eaggerations, rumors. Unfortunately some may be true. And now some people will take advantage of his passing to tarnish his name. As you said... I don't really care that much. But, none will tarnish his legacy in the world of music. |
