The Andersen 57 showed you what is expected of "Men of Iron whose strength will never yield."
Learn It. Live It. Love It.
Oh and BTW...any more talk of moving Ryan Nall to another position and I may have an aneurysm

Nall will be the feature back next year. If not, I will have to challenge CGA to 3 rounds in the Octagon.

No doubt! I was shocked to see him outrun those two DB's on his long run. That was awesome!!

No doubt! I was shocked to see him outrun those two DB's on his long run. That was awesome!! I wasn't. I watched him vs Tigard in a playoff game. (I know HS and all). He was a monster in that game. Several 60+ yd runs. He was pulling away from anybody Tigard had.
Big Nall fan since. Really really excited MR got him signed. Have felt Ryan was underutilized this year. Since Stanford where he went off he hasn't seen a ton of action. Injuries get him the balance of carries vs *ucks and he shows lots of versatility

I think my favorite play of the game was when Nall broke loose for the TD. He was going and it looked like a uck defender was gonna catch him. Mr. 07 even said "ah, he's not going to make it, he's not fast enough" AND RIGHT THEN RYAN TURNED ON THE BURNERS. Boom. In for a touchdown. And the crowd went wild! At least I did. My cat was freaked out by my behavior and hid under the bed

LOLOL Beav2007!! I have two cats, but they aren't interested in football! :-) I think we were all happy and surprised by the speed Nall exhibited on that TD run. Hopefully he will be used wisely next year. He's earned it!! GO BEAVS!

I think Nall has established his identity per Kerry's interview: One of those is Nall, the former Central Catholic great whom coaches were considering moving to an inside linebacker position next season to fill a need.
"Not after today," Andersen said with a smile.
I'm oddly excited after attending my 40th Civil War. That second half was fun to watch and showed a lot of character. I think we'll actually be functional at the quarterback position next year which will make a huge difference. Defense, I suspect is going to take a bit longer to get the athletes we need and will be a tougher proposition.

I'm oddly excited after attending my 40th Civil War. My hat is off to you... I will probably never see 40 in person.
I did, however, sit though the entire '83 toilet bowl w/o rain gear.

On of the DBs Nall ran away from was a former LSU recruit and 4* that switched last minute, with an alleged HS 40 of 4.45s (although we know how accurate those are).
Nall alone has me excited about next year. It's also strange to have senior day with almost nobody graduating that I'll miss next year seeing on the field next year - The Commish and Peko comes the closest. A big part of that is that there are so few of them.

Will really miss Josh Mitchell. I think Peko might have become great with a second year but sadly that ship has sailed.

While I agree that anyone who chose not to attend the CW should be politely shown the door, I don't think simply cleaning house is going magically improve the squad. None of those guys were playing anyways, and the guys that were out there were the ones getting smoked every week. Depth is great and all, but having backups better than the other guys backups isn't going to get you bowl eligible. The one thing I think will make the team better instantly is an improved D-Line, but I swear to God we all say that every season and no matter who we throw out there, the results are the same. Even with Crichton and Wynn we struggled. Last year it was "well if we just had Peko and Grimble....." and even when both were playing it wasn't great.

Will really miss Josh Mitchell. I think Peko might have become great with a second year but sadly that ship has sailed. If things had gone as planned, Peko eligible, Crichton finishing his eligibility, last year's D line would have been crazy good and 5 wins would have become 9 or 10.

If that happens, Riley's still our coach and Del Rio is our QB and we are all making plans to be in Las Vegas for Christmas.

Las Vegas for Christmas sounds fine by me. I do look forward to making it to some bowl games in the future.
