He wasn't the starter at ISU either, until those ahead of him were injured.

Pretty sure unless someone on this board was living under a rock that absolutely nobody missed it.

Matt Moore wasn't good enough to keep the starter's job at UCLA. This happens everywhere! Few coaches start a quarterback based on how good he might be in three or four years.

All I want for Christmas-New Years-Easter is Jacob Eason to become a Beaver. Lol. Real long shot, but Riley and Niner recruited him out of high school. Oregon State getting some early mention. A lot of posters have been watching the Eason story for weeks simply because of the Smith-Riley connections.

Definitely not a certainty on the transfer. All it would take for Eason to be the guy at Georgia is a Fromm injury. At the same time, Fields has signed at Georgia, and he is already annointed. Fromm and Fields make the Georgia supporters think Eason will be the odd man out. Of course, every football fan in the country thinks Eason should transfer to their school. Lol

He wasn't the starter at ISU either, until those ahead of him were injured. and still he was undoubtedly better than any QB we had on the roster here. The fact that he walked on at ISU is moot. SaveSave

Your line of reasoning isn't valid - regardless of whether he was 8th string or expected to be the next Tom Brady, the fact is he's clearly better than anyone we had in 2017, and he was let go because he "wasn't good enough". Sorry, the horse still has life when the guy is still playing D-I football. If the topic of Kempt comes up next year, you can pull out the "dead horse" argument. SaveSave

Now that his career is over, and he won't be playing for anyone ever again, if the subject is brought up again, the horse will be dead. But, it did still have one last kick in it during the bowl game. SaveSave
