Based on the renderings I saw from the new video board for Gill, looks like Reser May get some tickers in the future possibly. Personally I like both options, gives Reser a NFL vibe a bit with the bright tickers flashing "Go Beavers, touchdown" and etc. Anyways, what do you all think? Ya like tje future mini additions to Reser?

Do you prefer an nfl vibe over a college gameday vibe?
I don't know there's really that much difference anymore which is sad.
There used to be nothing like college gameday, the marching band playing in the background, tailgating galore, stadium full of energy come kickoff, players who loved the game, and much less concern over the season long implications of any one game and more about just enjoying that day.

Much of the blame goes to the devil "T V Money". It's necessary to survive, but is pushing hard against both loyal and casual fans. Thursday, Friday, and late night starts on Saturday make it difficult for those who used to "make a day of it", particularly for family outings, distance drivers, and early morning workers. Not all of the decrease in ticket sales is due to losing football games.

I like the ticker boards, if nothing else they can sell more umpqua ice cream adds! And maybe for once the birthday salutations will actually get noticed

Nice, but I always thought the east side upper-deck facade would have been a great place for a Wall of Honor.

Can the Ticker show scores from other games?
I remember when the original Jumbo Tron was installed and for a season or 2 we would actually get to see scores in progress. That was pre smart phone... and I'm probably old but it would still be nice to see more scores from around the country. I know they occasionally do that now... but if we are truly fighting to get fans to show up in person over staying home.... you have to give them more of what they would have at home. Personally, watching away games at home I'm moving from channel to channel checking on other games during commercial and enjoying the other scores presented on the TV while our game is underway.
More advertising is always good too. So, I'm a yes but let's use them wisely.

The IPF is dramatically under-used, parking situation is pretty much atrocious, the tailgating is spread out all over creation instead of creating an atmosphere that is a "can't miss" event. Moving the best tailgaters (RV's) to BFE is still something that sticks in my craw, it's dumbfounding to me that it still hasn't been corrected. It's one thing to make the games difficult to attend, but it's another thing entirely to not make them attractive enough to draw the crowds.

One of my friends who had seats right next to me on the West side for YEARS used to scream "WE DON'T CARE ABOUT OTHER GAMES" whenever they would flash a score up on the scoreboard. Mike (aka Bobby) we need you back in the stadium !!!!

Plastered with Miller Lite banners, like, 3 or 4 food vendors tops, and zero quality beer options. it was a cut rate as it could possibly be. I never went back.

There is just no sense of community at Truax. Out in the lots you have tailgating parties but there is lots of interaction, the food is provided by tailgaters who bring dozens of different options to an average sized party and doesn't come with a price tag if someone invites you for a beer or braut. Truax has very limited food, areas are blocked off for private parties, and instead of beer in coolers and easy access to food, the lines are long and choices limited. It's just not fun or easy to access, especially at half time.

We will often brave the traffic just to go to Truax. I will even take my kids and then take them home and then go back to the game if only I have tickets. The Beaver kids zone is great for my little kids and their cousins. Bounce houses, balloon animals, face painting, free posters, etc. The human bowling ball game thingy is great for my older kids. We all get 2 or 3 (ok maybe 6 for me) free samples of ice cream and fill our pockets with whatever free hand out cosmo creations is giving I get a beer and there are several projector screens with games going for me to watch while I ignore my kids And if the weather is nice we throw the practice balls around and get a little fresh air. Pièce De Résistance is waiting for the marching band to make its way through and blasting us with some great pre game pump up juice Other than parking (which I usually get around by biking there or walking after AYSO games) most of the above is FREE (except for the over priced beer). The vendors change from time to time and for the most part I don't like ANY of the vendors in the stadium, but there is one that sells a reasonably priced burger and fries which is really quite good, seems like it changes it's location from time to time though.

This makes me happy to hear that at least someone is getting some use out of Truax. But, if you've ever been to a Ducks game and been in the Mo... you would be forced to agree, the IPF is woefully under-utilized.

What could we incorporate into the Truax experience? Most important, is it free?
