Coach Smith taking Jefferson and Hodgins to media days. It’s traditionally been Seniors and (most of the time) one player from each side of the ball. With that in mind, I had anticipated seeing Luton and Jalen Moore. I like this move because because it showcases the players who we should really be showcasing. Our stars. Our offensive playmakers and the players who media (those who actually have any interest in the Beavs) actually want to see.
Golf clap the Coach Smith and those who made this decision.

I agree, people want to see hear about the new hotness or the guy with the biggest upside projection. Nothing against the other guys but Jefferson and Hodgins are potentially All Pac12 level guys. Also, and I say this as a defensive guy, its fine to snub the defense, especially as they have a ton to prove after last year, they know they always think are the redheaded step child anyway, just go ahead and treat them that way, make that chip on the shoulder immense.

Problem was he spent his time cleaning up messes that the DLINE and LB failed to solve last year. This season if they can be mediocure, he should flourish as a play-maker (create turnovers, drive killer) instead of a bandaid.

Isaac had a pretty good season for an underweight true freshman DT. As the scheme and surrounding talent settle in/improve, he could become a monster for us. I suspect JS took both of these kids as the face of the future of the program.
