More than a handful of passes were batted away, including a couple impressive knockdowns by outside linebacker Isaac Garcia and inside linebacker Jack Colletto. Freshman Alex Austin had an interception during a third-team 11-on-11 drill.

Check out the defender blocking the pass at 0:40. Damn man... I hope that isn't a sign of what we can expect from our QB's this season.

It said he was still a part of the goal line package at QB.

But some of those guys have pianos on their back...no foot speed at all. that qb footwork drill reveals ability to shuffle quickly but smoothly sideways and forwards in the pocket without losing your downfield orientation... how important is that? wow JL's feet move as fast as any of those little guys. Are they slow or do they just look slow in this drill? A decent college QB uses that ability to buy time to throw the ball instead of taking a sack or running for his life. A good qb steps up or sidesteps the pressure to throw to the next read or throw it away. The really good ones have a knack for hanging in there (when neccesary) until the underneath receiver comes open across the middle. Anyway I think JS and his dudes know as much about this as any coach out there.

Well we have to do something to shake camp up - our best kicker transferred to the Baltimore Orioles in the off season, sigh.

welp. Both starting safeties not practicing yet. Hamstrings are usually the first thing to go when you don't/can't stretch and condition properly all year.

Yeah I'm at the believe-it-when-I-see-it stage w/Morris in particular. I feel like he's perpetually "should be ready by next week". Stay loose fellas...
