On numerous occasions last night I watched the players get faked inside only to miss the tackle and let the player get outside. This is day 1 stuff. Always force the player back inside where your help is. Drives me nuts.

OK St saw that and said him what's he doing back there and figured out right away to kick out it to him and give beavs the long field. Irish and Flemings back there, I like. Flemings is going to bring 1 or 2 back this year, write it down. Also, I love 12 as goal line qb but not at LB on critical 3rd downs. Not yet. That 2cnd quarter TD, he was in no mans zone. Also Alu's stance needs work. NT in a 2 pt stance? Was he just tired?

I like the story and want him to succeed, but his speed isn't elite enough for him to be on the field at that size (imo). Getting the ball at the 25 on the fair catch is basically the same as champ returning it. He shouldn't have been in on that 3rd down play.

Its been my experience watching him he is like a leaf and even near contact throws him down or off course. kid looks fast but lacks speed balance combo to make up for size.

Always force the player back inside where your help is. Drives me nuts. The best we ever had at doing this was Laroque. God only knows how many tackles he didn't get as an OLB because he held his ground, stayed in position, and forced the play back inside where he had help. No one got outside on him. If they did, he ran them down and tackled them. Pro scouts had it nailed which is why he had a brief career in the NFL.
