Good god people we are one game in. Give the coaches/players time to work. This coaching staff has 13 games since arriving to the dumpster fire they came into. At least give them enough time to get players of their choice here. Don't expect miracles in a year and a half. I believe this staff will get things going in the right direction. Just give them sometime. GO BEAVS

Ok State hung 44 on Boise state last year and 48 on Oklahoma. They look like a more physically capable offense this year. It may be hard for some to see based on the opponent, but our defense is improved over last year.
Let's win the rest of our OOC since outside of Arizona and UCLA the P12 looks like it will be hard for anyone to come away with conference wins.

Man, it is *really* hard to see/believe that our defense has improved (other than the 9 tackles for loss) when those of us in the crowd were trying so hard to help the Beavers get a stop on 3rd down and came away disappointed over and over again. Coach Smith is painfully aware of this fact. He knows that the crowd energy will be drained if the defense can't get a stop.
BUT, I hadn't really looked back at last year's OkSt games for reference. There is no doubt that our defense did not do well against them. There is no doubt that some of the teams they played last year did manage to slow them down a lot. But, it has done me some good to look back at the fact that the Cowboys last season scored 44 on #17 BSU, 45 on #9 West Virginia, and 47 on #6 Oklahoma. These were all home games but still they say something about the OkSt offense.
You'd think if any team would have developed a foolproof plan to stop the Cowboys, it would be their conference rival Oklahoma. In their game in Stillwater last season, the cowboys had 640 yards of total offense and were a failed 2-point conversion away from winning.

and pundits think Oklahoma St has an equal or better offense this year, even with a freshman QB. Tall order for OSU in game one. my disappointment is what you said, can't getting it done on 3rd down over and over again. frustratingly I felt several times due to an easily correctable blunder on defense and in a few cases, simply a blown play. It is that last little bit to get over the hump.
