All we (Beaver fans) really care about is that our team lost, but in the bigger picture there may come a year again when we care about the perceived strength of the Pac-12 and how it affects our ranking.
As I said last week, nobody outside the west notices something like Arizona losing to Hawaii. What really matters is the performance of the Pac-12 teams that are already in the Top 25. You generally don't move down in the rankings if you keep winning. So, the Pac-12 benefits from our ranked teams winning the games they are "supposed" to win.
Utah won and moved up to #13 in the AP poll and stayed at #15 in the coaches poll.
UW won and moved down(?) to #14 in the AP poll and stayed at #12 in the coaches poll.
The cheatin' ducks lost to a ranked team and dropped 5 places to #16 in the AP and #18 in the coaches poll.
WSU won and moved up to #22 in the AP poll and stayed at #21 in the coaches poll.
Stanford won and moved up to #23 in the AP poll and stayed at #23 in the coaches poll.
It's not great news for the conference that there are only 5 teams in the Top 25 and none in the Top 10, but all the ranked teams can do is try to keep winning and move up. Except the ducks. They can just keep losing and drop right out.

It’s not great news to have 5 teams in the top 25? The Big 12 only has 3 and the ACC only has 2. They must really suck.

I must admit that I didn't look at any other conferences before I posted that. I had initially thought that it was pretty good to have 5 teams in but then when I realized that we had 7 unranked teams, including marquee programs like USC and UCLA, it struck me that it could/should be better.

That’s part of the PAC 12’s perception problem. The ACC and the Big 12 each have one dominant team (Clemson and OU) and therefore people think their conferences are good and the PAC 12 sucks.
