This team is going to win games. The talent is nowhere near as bad as it has been. With that said, JS and co. better get their s%#t together quick. I dont mind being aggressive (4th and 5, fake punt) but the plays that were called were mind boggling bad.
But maybe the worst offensive call all game was throwing a bomb on 2nd and 10 with 1:25 left. You have to be thinking first down there, not low % pass play. Even if you score you leave Hawaii plenty of time on the clock. But more than likely, its justc3rd and 10.
At this point I think you need to go with Gebbia. Let him get up to speed with Cal Poly before Pac 12 starts. I like Luton, but hes absolutely useless on the move. And bench Togia, he is awful.
JS, have yet to to see anything from you that you or your crew is better than the last. Step up kid because we have high expectations you have the chops to turn this around. And what I saw tonight, wasn't at all on the kids.

Wait... the game was a loss... a TEAM stat... doesn't matter who or why.
0-2... hard to take... but, we've got coaches with only a bit more experience in their responsibilities as about 20 players seeing the field. Too too many mental mistakes by all.
Other than OSU not willing to invest in more experienced coaches/staff (not crazy, want to go down the road on who might have been interested), and the ineptness of it all. The injuries, one key transfer (so far), and team discipline really worry me. Players fighting on camera is GAG era crap.
The ship needs to be steadied... quickly.
And, if the AD wants to know why fans aren't "invested", how about OSU investing in more than the physical plant?
Hoping JS is it... but, so far his hires aren't cutting it!

AP did not get a rushing attempt in the second half 7 for 79 yds and 2 TDS all in the 1st half. I hope some reporter asks the question Believe he got 1, maybe 2. He was 6/74 at half I believe?? You are right, 1 rushing attempt for 3 yards. I think it was the second or third series of the second half. Then nada

Baseball 1111 - You are also a POS Get with the program or continue to go down with the ship, or, do you like waving your Pom Poms like the loser you are. If you aren’t embarrassed , I am embarrassed for you. This staff has totally lost the team - but, by all means, stand by and enjoy the shipwreck. Your words are like music to my ears- because you think you are the final word on everything- okay,, enjoy yourself and your cheering squad of one!

Someone should leave a recording for the coaching staff Cal's last drive against Washington. They didn't even attempt one bomb.

I couldn't watch it but sounds dreadful from the comments. Wow, another wasted year. I'm not down on 9er yet, but the water is circling the drain. Time to see at least SOME hope, and so far, nada, regretfully...

Well, the good news is that several of our future opponents (UCLA and Arizona in particular) have also looked bad - and Arizona lost by more to Hawaii - so no point writing anything off yet.

You can thank Johnathan Smith for those 3 points that will likely decide the game. Truly one of the most horrendous coaching decisions I have ever seen in my life. Tie game on your own 30 late in the 4th. Fake punt pass. Truly incredible. How else were we going to score? Do you think we'd win in OT?

Experts that get paid to know this, not the arm chair QBs that were predicting 3, 4 ...6 wins. You boys do this every year: talk yourselves into unrealistic expectations then lose your s&%t when it doesn't happen.

Your words are like music to my ears- because you think you are the final word on everything- okay,, enjoy yourself and your cheering squad of one! Some men (used loosely here) only see the negative. Their lives obviously have fed that view point and wish others the same demise. Your rants are so baseless... few here with any intuitive reasoning and intelligence would call me a cheerleader/"pom poms". And, unfortunately for your moronic views, and fortunately for the rest of us... this is an OSU "FAN" board. Most all of us here are "cheering". I'm not sure why you post here. Do you hope to get a "like" or two from similar intellects and morose believers? Folks like you live for the negative. It's the only time they feel right with the world. Hint, you're not "right" with this site. You're an outlier of extreme proportions. You actually hope the "village" burns just so you can feel any kind of warmth in your life. That said... too many words have been wasted in your presence here. Your words are not anything to most here, just notes of a frustrated old person (pretty easy guess... really sad if you're young with a long future). There is no reason or logic to a person of your thinking, you just like it when OSU fails... makes you feel better about your plight. Hey... but come to think of it, you have lost all connection to the sporting world... guess not still posting... still full of BS.

This was obviously more than possible as evidenced by the fact that we stopped them and got the ball back twice after that play. I don’t agree with pcm hardly ever, but this point is hard to argue with. We gifted them 3 points to go ahead in the game when we didn’t have to. We would have had two opportunities to win it in regulation ... and if not, yes, I do feel like we would have won it in OT.

And, if the AD wants to know why fans aren't "invested", how about OSU investing in more than the physical plant? Hoping JS is it... but, so far his hires aren't cutting it! Concisely, this is it. Too many mental mistakes by all. Young coaching staff, young team. A young coaching staff that tends to like to gamble and call plays aggressively, by the look of things. The offense has been fairly productive thus far, but some misfires.. it smacks of a team with talent but not without assignment discipline/consistent execution, and it smacks of a coaching staff with some talent but lacking experience/wisdom. I do think you can excuse a clunker of a game from the coaching staff, as long as they aren't all clunkers like this one was. Washington State went through a lot of these type of growing pains with Leach to begin with as well. They show flashes of talent but "same old Cougs" was the story for a couple of years. I don't think it's unreasonable to think that we might go 3-5 years before we start winning more games than we lose. This year, 2 games, during the time while the actual game was being played, I thought "Holy crap the Beavs might have a chance to win this". And really, that's all I'm asking for this year.
