I kinda doubt Hawaii is a upper echelon defensive team so no points in 2 quarters seems mind boggling to me.
I didn't get to see the game since the facebook feed was choppy for me but did penalties kill 2 possessions in the entire half? How many possessions did we have in the second half? I am hoping we will win at least one pac12 game but it looks pretty grim (especially with loss of gumbs). hopefully we see some more innovation and getting ball to jefferson and pearce any way they can in open field. you'd think that they could scheme at least a FG per quarter!!
Is Baylor injured?

As I recall, although bourbon was a factor for me at that time of a Friday evening, penalties crushed us in the second half. Other issues too but the penalties were very damaging.

There are three things that killed us in the second half. We were outplayed, outcoached, and out disciplined. We don't have enough talent to win a game unless we are better in all three.

Is Baylor injured? - 1st drive of 2nd half - 50 yd completion to Hodgins wiped out on a pretty weak (IMO) offensive PI.
- 2nd drive of 2nd half- got to about the Hawaii 35 or so before a holding penalty set us back.
- A few 3 and outs after that, IIRC a 4th & 5 attempt that was a yard short and then a fake punt that - because of the blood oath - we are no longer talking about. Plus the missed 52 yd FG
Baylor is fine, just odd man out right now and per Lindgren earlier in the week "trying to find a role for him". If all goes well I'm sure we'll see him on Saturday.

Well, I don’t know about your conclusion. It seems to me that if the Beavers had not received so many penalties in the second half against Hawaii, we wouldn’t have lost that game. The penalties killed the drives. So let’s improve the discipline part. Focus on fewer stupid penalties and no more fisticuffs after (or during) the game.

Penalties, drops, couple errant throws. These things happen. The real issue was that, the Beavs had then so EVENLY spread out over each drive. I mean if you have them all hit on 1 drive its better than having one consistently every other play.

Baylor is fine, just odd man out right now and per Lindgren earlier in the week "trying to find a role for him". If all goes well I'm sure we'll see him on Saturday. Fixed it for you. The hold was a good call on the backup center. It sprung Jefferson. Hodgins dropped the next pass and it ricocheted to Taylor, who should have batted it down. Instead, he caught it for a loss. It looked like Hawai'i jumped on 3rd & 16, but it wasn't called. The pocket broke down under a blitz and Luton threw behind Champ Flemings. (The protection did not let the play develop, and Flemings was well behind the sticks.) The next drive was Jefferson for no gain and a Lindsey drop. On 3rd & 10, Luton hit Taylor in the hands, but Taylor could not come up with it. It looked like Togiai was open. It looked like the DB on Taylor may have interfered with Taylor, but it was not called. On the next drive, after a fumble, Jefferson ran for six on first down. Jefferson then looked like he did not run the correct play, did not follow his blockers, and was stopped for a gain of one. Jefferson then followed his blockers and was stopped for a loss of one. On 4th & 4 at the 30, Oregon State was called for a phantom false start on a pass to Taylor that would have given Oregon State a first down. Instead, Luton pooch punted the ball to the two. The next drive ended on downs, when Hodgins was stopped a yard short of the first down. The next drive was the fake punt. The next drive was the missed field goal.
