You just don’t seem to get the point of message boards. If you post a message, and it has a controversial opinion, other posters will disagree with it. That’s how this place works. If you post a non-opinion post, such as the time and location of the Penn St wrestling match, then it is unlikely to draw discussion. You should stick to non-opinion posts, or stop being a crybaby. Ah, crybaby, haven't heard that one before! Thanks for making my point. Look fly fishing, I’m inclined to agree with many of your posts, and we all know that rGeorge can take on the role of bully here (he has been banned enough times to not make that a controversial statement). What I don’t get about some of your posts is that instead of defending your opinion, or arguing against the opinion of others, you instead complain that it is somehow unfair for others to disagree with your opinion. In my family that is called being a crybaby, your family may have other terms for it.

In my family that is called being a crybaby, your family may have other terms for it. I think the problem is that it gets personal pretty quickly, instead of arguing over the substance. Look at the very first post in this thread. Calling on "debbie downers". And that isn't the first time - calling others trolls and worse. It seems like some of the optimistic crowd are great at being positive about the team and about life but bend over backwards to disparage other posters. There was already a 3 page convo about this on the football recruiting board where one person labels a group of the others and two other people jump right on board with follow-up posts, bashing away at other posters. This happened on the Rotating Tap board more than once. For all the heartache and misfortune the team has suffered this year, it sure seems like there is a lot more concern about other posters attitude, as if that's going to change anything with what happens on the field. And as for rgeorge, I forgive some of his posts because at least he brings in some real technical knowledge on this and the basketball boards (his baseball knowledge is suspect ) and I swear he'd enjoy OSU football if it was him in a deck chair on a dusty road watching 80 year olds suit up to play.

That last sentence was almost English. Best I could do on short notice. 😂

It has just been bugging me since late summer and I finally decided to say something. Everyone should try to stay away from labeling others, but there is a gray line between labeling others and labeling their opinions. A doom and gloom opinion, or a sunshine pumper opinion IS different then labeling a poster a doom and gloomer or a sunshine pumper.

It's the name calling and trying to make other Beavs feel like idiots that is where I take exception, and I will call it out. I am not a crybaby, and if you said that to my face you'd better be ready to back it up

Why is that. Why do we have 5 pages of people pissing their pants about a DL leaving us and absolutely nobody that is in that thread crying a river has anything to say about OSU landing the LSU DL Tygee Hill, rated the #24 DL in the nation as a HS recruit, with 3 years left to play and offers from everybody on the planet? It is an absolute graveyard over in the recruiting board. Nobody wants to talk about Gabarri Johnson, a QB that was rated within one point of Adian Chiles nor McCoy who largely put Idaho on his back this season? Everybody wants to cry about losing Bolden nobody has said s%#t about picking up Anderson, a WR rated WAY higher than Bolden ever was. We are crying about losing Tanner Miller but nobody has anything to say about getting the only two competed OL out of Colorado? We've had a bunch of really good dudes transfer in. Nobody seems to want to talk about that. Why can't we have a conversation, a real conversation for once about what we are getting and not what we lost? Would ANY of these debbie downers show up for that conversation? I find it doubtful. The same reason when we win the threads are two pages and when we lose the threads are 6-7 pages. It's easier to complain. We have done very well in the portal, as you indicated. I'm excited to see two mobile QBs, who can escape the pocket and turn a potential sack into a 15-yard gain. Perhaps it was by design but we did not get anywhere near the running production out of DJU that I thought we would. FWIW, it cost us that Arizona game. several times he could of tucked it and run for a first with ease. He stood in the pocket and waited for a WR to never come open.

Honestly some of us got burned so bad by Simi Kuli that we have PTSD and can't bring ourselves to celebrate any DL guy who isn't on campus yet. It’s been 15 years. At this point, not getting over it is a choice. Lol

Lol I was really making an insider joke mostly... but to be real for a minute - for me personally, that was kind of the height of my connection to the recruiting game. I had sources in the AD and the whole 9 yards back then. So I'll most likely make jokes about that one forever haha
