Congratulations on winning the Zapp Brannigan Mixed Metaphor Award of the Day! The first part of your statement is generally untrue. If there is no red tape, the best product usually wins. And Animal Farm is about Communism; you have officially lost me. The end point of capitalism without guardrails is always and will always be a monopoly. 100% of the time, and without fail. Animal Farm is a critique of communism, specifically Joseph Stalin. However, I don't think the metaphor is all that mixed. We are in the stage of "re-writing the rules to fit our world view." De-volving from our once held beliefs (seven commandments, if you will) and adapting new ones in a manner that benefits the few, (snowball and napoleon). All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others. There doesn't have to be an economic system fit for the metaphor to work. That and I would argue an oligarchy is an oligarchy, regardless of the window dressings of the political system of the home country. There are Oligarchs here in America, and there were Oligarchs in Stalin's brutal regime. Yeah was more thinking the centralization of power/capital to the piggies and the poor horse getting worked to death for every benefit. It def is a critique on communism but I think it works for greed and corruption in any system well enough.

Yes, if there's no guard rails on capitalism the best exploiters always win. We are in the animal farm stage of CFB. Congratulations on winning the Zapp Brannigan Mixed Metaphor Award of the Day! The first part of your statement is generally untrue. If there is no red tape, the best product usually wins. And Animal Farm is about Communism; you have officially lost me. meh. Best product is completely dependent on the value system. In this case the best product is generating money and nothing else. Traditions, rivalries, game day experience, access, family outings are all being burned in a pyre for some green. Animal farm was written as a critique on communism but the same ideas work across any greed based system. In reality animal farm was written about FAILED communism and why it is inteveitable that it does fail not a functional communist system (which definitely can not exist on nation scale).

Yes. Pure capitalism leads to extreme income inequality. So does communism. Maybe in communism you could call it resource inequality.

My first rule is always that "people suck." It is why Communism cannot work. And it is why monopolies, oligopolies, and trusts should generally be broken up. I always liked the American Constitution, because it generally paints a very cynical view of nearly everyone. I share in its general cynicism. Checks and balances. Keep the a**holes in line.
