He flunked out of school, so staying was not an option. Oh, I didn't remember that. Just thought he left as a Sophomore for the big time. It kind of worked out for him, until it didn't. For Browner, it kind of didn't work out, until it did. He left school after the 2004 season and got picked up as a UDFA by Denver before breaking his arm and missing the entire season on IR. They cut him the next year, and he toiled in the CFL for several seasons before finally getting another chance at the NFL with the Seahawks in 2011.

What I meant is that he eventually made the NFL, won a Super Bowl Title, but now is going to the big house. And I don't mean Michigan's stadium.

Not to be snarky, but in the US everyone is presumed innocent until the state proves they aren't, beyond a reasonable doubt.

In a pragmatic way? Not at all, not even in the judicial system, and certainly not in court of public opinion. From malicious DAs prosecuting with no thinking, to the impossibility of having an untainted jury in our instant world, to lawyers doing bad work, to judges with prejudices (all humans have prejudices, it's an evolutionary advantage), to the actual court decision not mattering anyways because social media / your peer group is what will eventually judge you anyways in terms of actual real world, life consequences... Yeah, innocent until proven guilty, but only in theory, never in practice. It is just not how the human mind or our society works... Social media has exacerbated it, but this has always been true.

"Former Seattle Seahawks cornerback Brandon Browner was arrested Sunday following a chase in Azusa, Calif., according to a report from NBC Los Angeles. Per the report, Browner was wanted for kidnapping, false imprisonment, burglary, grand theft auto and violation of a restraining order."
Dollars-to-donuts this came out of a custody dispute. The overwhelming majority of "kidnappings" are non-custodial parents taking their own kids. The majority of "grand theft auto" cases are people "stealing" a car they already had the keys for. I don't mean to excuse Brandon from anything - I don't know anything about the situation beyond what is here - but I seriously doubt that he's on any sort of crime spree.

We need not venture very far to see a sad illustration of this!!
