Yikes... I didn't notice this on my first perusal, but the article says that Gus Lavaka is up 25 pounds to 375 as well With a thin a less proven O-Line you really need you need to be able to count on your surefire starters, of which Lavaka is a big (no pun intended) piece...

-all positions are open at this time. As they should be. -Coaches don't like committee approach to the RB or QB position. Well that's a relief. I am sure that means Colleto will be the most popular guy here in a couple of months. -Riley is back! -looks like Ayton has gained a couple #s since the olive article last week. Keep an eye on that scale Portland Trombone

LOL Elu has a reputation for being freakishly light-footed for his size, he's actually a pretty decent basketball player. Then Tink should play him.... as a football player... he’s a bowl of molasses .... I'll be the very first to admit that I didn't watch OSU football at all closely last year and not enough to offer a personal opinion on Elu's play last year. Hard to see everything with your hands covering your own eyes most of the time.

As guy that remembers buy one, get one tickets at Bi Mart and losing to Montana (state?) in like 1992 or whatever... the CGA years were still probably the darkest football years I can think of. Because, there in the 90's we were bad already. it was just a continuation. it wasn't a fall. it wasn't the house burning down. It wasn't some asshole coming in and ruining everything then flipping everybody off as he walked away from his mess. durning "the streak" it was a series of well intended (for the most part) coaches trying with little to zero school help. Not sure if that makes sense or not. I have made a personal commitment to be significantly more invested this year. our team needs it. They deserve it. These kids need to rise above and a whole lot of fan love is really going to help with that.

I'm thinking this article is using weights from the spring weigh in. I thought Levaka hit 375 in the spring. Current roster weights are different, they've got him at 353. I could be wrong on which is currently accurate though. We should know in a few days.

And like any fire, I just stared at it without any emotional attachment, just flames that consumed everything and left nothing but ash in the morning.

Montana and Oregon State were conference opponents for 27 years. In that time, the Beavers went 11-0-2 against the Grizzlies. Oregon State is on a two-game losing streak against Montana, having lost in 1990 and 1996. The Beavers lost 22-15 in 1990. 1996 was much worse. Montana 35 - Oregon State 14. The coaches were fired at year's end in both 1990 and 1996.
