Did anyone see the tennis ball thrown on the field that resulted in a False Start penalty for us? We were driving toward the library end zone in Pullman--the Wazzu Band end of the field--so it was either the 2nd or 3rd quarter. I see a tennis ball come sailing in from the band, or the student just above the band. I saw it bounce on the field, then I saw the flag. I thought great, now they'll flag the students for the disruption. But no, the Back Judge just kicked it off the field and the flag was on us. Shades of screwdrivers in Fresno...

Yeah, now that you mention it, I saw it, wondered what was going on, either live or the replay, the mid field camera pulled back and seemed to show a ball or object of some kind land about 25 yards down field from the LOS. Announcers said nothing, and the penalty was assesed and that was that.
Ted Robinson, the PBP announcer for the game isn't looking to throw any positive comments our way, so not surprised it wasn't addressed on the broadcast unless forced to by the referees.
