It's a freaking basket. Can you shoot and make it? I have an idea, let's put a bunch of balloons in the rafters and then get beat and the balloons stay up there. Most basketball players don't realize their next shot will be outside on a sidewalk. If OSU gets to play UCONN, I'm expecting 40-0 before the Beavs get a score.
I'm rooting for you kids, but I was not impressed this evening.

A 30-point win in the second round of the NCAA tourney doesn't impress you? Maybe you should find something else to watch.

They beat the Bonnie's like a drum in the 3rd Period. Did you have the game turned on mute then? I was impressed, and I do not impress easily. And the girls had a blast after the game. Dancing and prancing all over to the sound of the Abba's "Dancing Queen". Ruth even got them to sing it for a little while. When Wise finally left the court, she jumped on Ruth's back and rode her like a horse. It was hilarious.

4 points in the third quarter... That's impressive. St Bonaventure is a top 50 field goal percentage team, OSU a top 35... More importantly OSU leads the NCAA in field goal defense, holding opponents to just over 30%. It showed tonight. Whether that D will make a difference against one of the only two women's teams that actually makes 50% of its shots, well see if we get that far.

Let's put this into perspective. Of the #1/#2 seeds that have played two games, Oregon State has the largest combined margin of victory, at 71 points. South Carolina has 64 points, Baylor 62 points. I like our odds to get to the Final Four. Very few teams can withstand their third period lock down defense. They may have to play like that all 60 minutes to beat Connecticut, but I'll worry about then when we get there.

UConn would have to lose, no one is beating them. SC, BAYLOR are also very very impressive. ND is the weak #1 IMHO. I love that we pounced on a #15 and a #10 as we should. DePaul beat a very good Louisville on their home court. No sure thing headed into Dallas, especially if we keep thinking just the 3-ball will do it.

Yes I'm stupid, and yes, Connecticut was leading 3 minutes before half time 60-9. They did relax and won the rest of the game 41-40 which would be 101-49. Am I as stupid as you think I am? Some of us need to jog 10 to 20 miles, in the same day. I can't. I'm old and fat, but i think I could walk up Mary's Peak. St Bonaventure? Really. I support programs rebuilding, but St. Bonaventure hasn't been relevant since Kareem Jabbar described who he was dragging up and down the court. Thank goodness OSU has a coach who can think, but the other 15 teams have coaches that also think. I'm still thinking what I think. OSU plays like that again it will be Hello Goodbye.

Sometimes you gotta give credit where it's due. UCONN is playing amazingly well, doesn't mean the Beavs are playing like crap.

And I was most certainly not impressed by your opinion. You should be happy for the win and congratulating the gals and coaches for making it happen.

I would hazard that our sub regional was weak. Granted we stepped on their throat. There seems to be a great disparity in WBB between Elite teams and the 2nd or 3rd level teams. And I think we got 2nd level teams here over the weekend.
Now I would think we'll get to the Elite teams and will need to play at a high level. What the women did vs UCLA was astounding. It will take something like that to get to Final Four. We'll need some contributors besides Hamblin and the Swish Sisters. (whatever happened to that name anyways? I kinda liked it) If Devon and gabby (sorry Gabriella per the PbP guy) add some play it will help. Add in some bench play.....
One thing these women do is have fun. All the time. After Weisner got her swan song there were kids playing with her as she's sitting on the bench. She was half watching half playing with them.

I think those were Coach Rueck's kids.

The Bonnie's are a program on the rise. They made the sweet 16 in 2012 and won a game this year obviously too

I thought that you were supposed to be the sober version of "Go Beavs"?
Scott is building a national powerhouse in women's basketball at OSU. Even a blind man can see that.

I thought that you were supposed to be the sober version of "Go Beavs"? Scott is building a national powerhouse in women's basketball at OSU. Even a blind man can see that. Hmmmmm... I guess that's why I keep running into things!Lol So let's not go crazy now over loving our success. SR has done a remarkable job. But, we're not even the power house of our conference... YET! We have TWO regular (tied for one) and ONE tourney title. We were NOT the best team in the Pac last year, we flamed out. We have (3) NCAA wins so far. I guess I see "building a powerhouse" as having a longer life span of success. As far as rankings go we've been up there, but never FINISHED there, once, let alone a "powerhouse" status. Beat DePaul you're in the top 8... this year. Beat Baylor... could happen is why you play the game, but we're not nearly as talented or have the tourney coaching experience at this level... you're in top 4 territory. BUT... that's this year. Let's wait until conference titles are on the way of Stanford regularity, Sweet 16's and further are becoming common place. SR is great, but building a national power is somewhat of a reach. When he can land some Breanna Stewarts, et al we will be on our way. Next year will be very telling. We lose a ton, other teams bring back some talent. For now beat DePaul. Go Beavs!
