Instead of going to the show the other day he was the show Would be great to edit the title of this thread - Madrigal is IN the show! Doesn't seem possible. So I was hoping to post a big go-ahead RBI post in the B7, with 2O, but the Brew Crew threw him 4 away. Nick didn't bite and juiced the based. Moved the lead runner to 3rd, and one WP later the ChiSox have the lead! Important to see that our man Jace was (please correct me if I'm wrong) in line for a loss earlier in the game after giving up 2 runs. His season ERA is now a painful 11.25, so we gotta get some Beaver Nation support for the South Siders!

Oh ye of little faith, how darest doest thou doubt the Magical Madrigal? The Man peeled the stitching off the old apple here in Goss for three years and now a few of y'all are succumbing to fear and anxiety over an 0-7 start? Nick Madrigal was born to hit and run the bases. It's the "Bigs", they throw harder and defend better - no matter. He doesn't give a s--t about any of that. He's going to do what he does, hit and run the sacks like he was still a Beaver. I never had a doubt - after all, Willy Mays started off 1-23 or maybe 0-23, and look how he did 0-12, a home run out of the park at the Polo Grounds against Warren Spahn, and 0-12. 1/25 start, but with a heck of a one.

Nick is a super ball player and a professional level hitter. At 23 years old, he'll likely play in the bigs for (hopefully) 15 years, barring injury.
It's really tough adjusting to MLB pitching. Nick has been brought up in an accelerated fashion (heck, it was just over 25 months ago that he played his last game in Beaver uniform). He burned it up on August 2, 2020 (4 for 5), but otherwise he has had three 0-fer games. Sox obviously believe in him, as well they should.

I did not see the play. Did he slide head-first? I believe that's how he got hurt last time. Do not slide head-first.

Feet first, reached back with his left arm as he went into the slide and immediately grabbed his wrist/forearm area

ESPN link under White Sox injury report says 10 day IL, separated shoulder Better the left shoulder, no impact to his throwing arm. Just make sure you're 100% healthy when you come back so you don't make any compensating swing alterations.
