Seems like there are several highly ranked players available due to post-signing decommits (school release due to coaching change or controversy) or transfers (mainly coaching controversy). Kentucky in particular has lost 8 current or future players since this fall in what looks like a LaVonda-like exodus situation. A lot of these players may pull back into a safe/comfortable close to home situation, but others are probably looking for a top team to join. Wonder if Rueck is looking at any of these kids. A few listed below.
Mi'Cole Cayton, 5’9” guard (St Mary’s HS, Stockton) #80 national ranking, former Nebraska commit Chatrice White, 6’3” sophomore center (Illinois transfer – leading scorer and rebounder, originally from Nebraska). McD All American Lindsey Corsaro, 6 ft guard, #35 ranking and McD All American (from Indianapolis), former Kentucky commit Batouly Camara, 6’2” freshman forward (Kentucky transfer, originally from NY NY)
The proven 6'3" center from Illinois would be nice. Cayton, from Kat Tudor's hs (and Ali Gibson), would seem logical given the connection. This is where the Ionescu "wait and see" becomes troublesome. Do you take one of these girls and end up with a 6 person class if Ionescu shows, which seems pretty heavy for one class. If you take a guard and then Ionescu joins, are you too guard heavy? Incidentally, if Ionescu goes schmuck I think they will have a class of 7 - talk about unbalanced.

Don't understand the 'unbalanced' viewpoint. The schmucks - unfortunately- now have a decent coach and he is recruiting equal to us. Hi 'problem', and maybe your point, is that with returners and 7 new bodies , a lot of unhappy campers due to being pushed out or losing court time. He is basically doing a makeover after the experiment with Westhead failed.

My point on unbalanced is that the wbb scholarship limit is 15. Taking 7 in one class accounts for nearly half of the allotment . Seems like you would want to take 3-5 per class so that you don't graduate the bulk of your roster in one year. That being said, if you can get highly regarded kids in any given year, take em.

I am guessing the three coaches in the Ionescu mix already know where she is going. Cal just signed a guard from Australia as a plan B signee.
