Not a single BeavAt the start of the article the "Insider" mentions 5 players not in the ranking for a variety of reasons. Top 50 players in the tourney...not a single Beaver. Ramblers big man in the top 20. Keep the chip on your shoulder Beavs...Elite 8 is in sight!

Watched a few shows this morning. Talking heads are already talking about how we won't be able to handle the Loyola Chi big man. Theory is he beat up on the Illinois center, and our front court sucks compared to Illinois. So, I guess we should just pack our bags now?

The run some "Princeton type stuff" and were killing Illinois on back doors against their man defense. We are going to need to pack it in against their center.

I was surprised to see Loyola Chicago a 7-pt favorite. I was expecting about 2. Yes, they are very good. But I guess no one has watched UCLA, Oregon, Colorado, Tennessee and Oklahoma State go down.

They knocked off a #1 seed and their overall record is better. Their Ken Pom is way higher.
It's easy to pick them to win.
I prefer going in as a underdog anyway. Keep that chip on the shoulder.

Uh o, don't talk to the NCAA about this or they might start testing for TPEP (tiny proton energy pills).

Loyola coach just had a great game plan and Krutwig and other players executed it perfectly. He is very highly skilled with great basketball IQ. If Beavs can control him, they can definitely win. But to me the most valuable person for Loyola was Moser their head coach. He had that team well schooled and ready to go. WT has to do the same for the Beavs.

Point being made was if Illinois can't contain Krutwig, then he and his team will eat our lunch. Or, roughly that was the sentiment. Seems like we've heard thus stuff before. At any rate, I agree with you, they are well coached. Even though they are favored like our previous games, I would say this will be the first game against an opponent that doesn't expect to just run us out of the gym by showing up. I fully expect this to be a tougher match up for us. Still like our chances!

And you’re right Loyola will be ready — and Beavs can definitely win.

I think they're a bad matchup for us, but we've heard that before and here we are. Just win.

Just beat him with a very different game than he's probably used seeing. Shades of the Round Mound of Sound. High five BeavinOhio. Go Beavs!

I don't really take that as an insult as more of a reflection that Oregon State plays more of a team game and has been for the past month or more.

They knocked off a #1 seed and their overall record is better. Their Ken Pom is way higher. It's easy to pick them to win. I prefer going in as a underdog anyway. Keep that chip on the shoulder. How about wins over Quad 1 opponents: Loyola-Chicago: #3 Illinois, #34 Georgia Tech and #45 Drake (twice) Oregon State: #13 Tennessee, #15 Colorado, #19 USC, #29 Oklahoma State, #33 Oregon (twice) and #46 UCLA
Loyola-Chicago has the best win of either team this year. However, Oregon State has six wins better than Loyola-Chicago's second-best win.
#59 North Texas is Loyola-Chicago's seventh-best win, and Oregon State has three more better than Loyola-Chicago's eighth-best win in #78 Stanford and #89 Utah (twice).
Oregon State has 10 top 100 wins to Loyola-Chicago's 8 and 17 top 200 wins to Loyola-Chicago's 13.
I agree with your sentiments about keeping a chip on our shoulder. If the Ramblers play like they can, they can beat pretty much anyone. But, if the Beavers plays like they can, they can beat pretty much anyone, as well.
