Cougs made the adjustments and plays we couldn’t. The truth hurts but we were badly outschemed and coached. We are making progress but have a long ways to go. I will be at the UTAH game but it will likely be more than half empty! All momentum and excitement for our program is gone! Really? What are we, uck fans? Nobody wants to watch a 4-2 team? Our fans suck if that’s the case.

You see what happens when an opponent plays all out to win ? USC did late in our game just like they did against these same Cougars and scored 45 points to win when they were down by two or three tds Makes you wonder what would have happened if there had been more time left in the game . Washington didnt go down without a fight and made us win by a field goal but like USC and WSU they ran through our defense like it wasnt even there when the chips were down . We couldnt stop them and thats pretty much what happens with our defense every game . The defense plays well intermittingly or shows flashes of greatness but when the opponent is cornered they push their way out of that corner and down to our end zone and we a re helpless to stop them . With the exception of Idaho, its happened every game and happens every year

That's BS. We weren't "tired" to play this game. Stop with the excuses. We simply got out coached. The halftime adjustments and lack of them was the difference. SC pummeled this team. WSU lost to a bad Utah St team... allowed WSU 155 yds passing. OSU sucked. Can they steady the ship is the question. We have the most unathletic DL in the conference. Until that changes, you'll have heartburn games like today. If Tibs has Dwan Edwards and Scott Crichton(in their prime) today. Do we lose? I want the dead Presidents

Ouch. Actually, double ouch. My two colleges last attended were OSU and Syracuse. Coast to coast Orange, and both were crushed at the end today in what were winnable games. Some questionable coaching decisions in each.
Oh well. On to the next game(s).

Apparently there is no pass interference from a punt/kick formation..... smh
The rule
Rule 7-3-8-c states that “when a team’s potential kicker, from scrimmage kick formation, simulates a scrimmage kick by throwing the ball high and deep and contact by a (defensive) player occurs,” it is not interference.
What makes it obscure
All of the conditions involved in the rule are strange. Defensive pass interference can be a difficult rule to call, and rules like this make it even more difficult. Not only does it qualify the pass as being “high and deep” from a kicking formation, but it also puts the onus on the referees to decide just what is a "high and deep" pass. Don’t be surprised if this rule is misinterpreted in the near future if a corresponding situation occurs.

Not saying Werebeaver isn’t a good guy. Got nothing against him. But it sure was nice believing the hype for a week, rather than facing the reality that our defense is second-rate at best and the rest of the season is going to be more of a struggle than the first half. Hype is hype. The second half of the season awaits. That will determine what kind of team this is. I’m still optimistic and look forward to watching it. Glad we came out of this game with no major injuries (tho there was some talk about OL Levengood). Yeah. I guess. I really thought that we had a better team than what we showed today. I thought our defense looked much better against UW and USC. And I expected Chance to return to form, but he rarely had time to throw.

I want the dead Presidents Wouldn't make any difference, Tibs has not a clue how to stop wazzu, nothing!! How can EVERY receiver be open by at least 5 yards, hell, a HS DB could stay closer than that. He's hopefully gone next year!! Ya, they kinda stopped the run, whooooopi, they scored st will the whole second half. Fire Tibs, the D is a dumpster fire ...

I think Glove called it. It was a trap game. For our coaches.
It really looked like they didn't do their homework. They didn't adjust well at halftime. We didn't stick with what we excel at. Instead, it looked like we were trying to revive a pass game even though the run game was our bread and butter for two glorious wins.

What happened in the Palouse was a brain fart by the OC at the end of the game. Run the fn ball. That was just the conclusion of the 2nd half brain farts. They started with the fake punt and continued on next drive throwing a low % route on 1st down in red zone to put us behind the chains and forcing a 3rd down pass that was picked. Those calls gave the game away. Coaches f%#*ing up happens. Having lower star athletes also happens.(especially on the DL)

The way I look at it is last week we won one we should have lost and this week we lost won we could have won. No harm no foul. The game was not a blowout. Our difference in points in the two loses is 16. Our total difference in points in the two Power5 wins is 21. Last week we showed we can come back and win even when playing below expectations. This week we played below expectations and did not do enough to win. We will go bowling but it will be a tightrope all season. 7-5 or 8-4 is my expectation. 6-6 will be a disappointment and 9-3 is if all things go our way.
