ocbeav I believe that Jarod Lucas has visited San Diego State, Nevada and Washington State. The other three schools interested are all in the SEC: Alabama, Louisiana State and Texas A&M. I believe that Auburn and Illinois were each interested at one point but each ultimately passed. WT has said that the door is still open, if he wants to return. Lucas has said that he wants to go somewhere, where he plays more often at the point. He also indicated that he did not like the recent turnover on the staff. Lucas has ties to San Diego and knows some of the coaches at Nevada. Lucas indicated that he may not make his decision until June. That's not going to work very well for him. He's not a PG. He could be at a lower level.

I don't get it. But I don't believe that any school that he is visiting is really going to give him what he's really looking for. I think that WT might just be speaking too honestly with him.

Any news on Lucas? I am sorry if I missed the news. WT said the door is opened if he wants to return. Not a fan of an open door. If you're happy, leave. GTFO. Bye. It might be a situation, where Lucas is obviously not happy, so WT is letting him try and find someplace that he thinks will be a better fit. Either he moves on, or he comes back happy, knowing that this is the best place for him. That's what I hope, at least.

He could be at a lower level. I believe he’s used all of his high school eligibility. And, I don’t see Western Oregon on his list of schools.

I highly doubt they’ll give him right of first refusal if they find a player that fits what they’re looking for.

I believe he’s used all of his high school eligibility. And, I don’t see Western Oregon on his list of schools. There’s actually 44 schools in D1 ball that have never made it to the NCAA tournament. The WAC, Summit League and the Big South each have several schools that fit that bill. I don’t see him as a starter at point at the schools he’s looking at unless they’ve have a couple rough recruiting years.

But, handle and lateral quickness are not among them. He could "play" PG anywhere. But, he's not "a" PG. Not at WOU. No college with a shred of honesty would tell him he is. Has someone told him he has a pro future, at some level, as a PG? And, if the (or one) reason he entered the portal was that's his view of himself as a player the door should close. Now.

That's what I'm assuming. He's not big enough to play the 2 professionally. He lists himself at 6'4", but I'll guarantee that he's not over 6'2".

Really can’t blame Lucas. As Smalls said, would be difficult for him to make a living as strictly a 2G. Even if he can only find a landing spot where he can play only some at the point, it makes him more versatile for the next level. Might as well look for a school that will allow him to do that. Not sure he’ll find one, but then he’s just back to playing the two like he was.

They probably have Plan B already lined up, in case Lucas does decide to leave.

I don't see him here unless OSU basically exhausts searching the transfer portal or overseas players.

So Christian Wright makes 12? Correct. Beavs now have one open scholarship left.
