Weed out the undesirables. Said a violation of both athletic department and team rules.
If you can't play by the rules, goodbye. Good luck to him down the road.

Don't know the particulars yet Eggers reported he was sent to the locker room late in the first half... reportedly for more or less pitching a fit on the sidelines. Puts it into perspective. Seth Collins pouting was not enough to warrant an eyebrow raise from coaches. Guyton's got booted for whatever he did. Sad really. young player that showed some promise. Oh well.

I think this is a HUGE loss down the road. Kid was 6'4" or 6'5" with 4.4 speed. Also earned a starting nod the last two weeks. I saw the Guyton incident before the half. Not sure what started he, but it was obviously upset and got tossed by the coaching staff rather quickly. Kind of wonder if Andersen used him as an example for the rest of the team "respect the process" thing?

Yeah, in the end you have to trust your coaches, but also I think the coaches need to remain grounded in the fact that this team is young and losing a lot is hard. everybody is frustrated. You can't let players step out of line, but.... I would be interested to know more. I know we won't get it, but I would be curious. being booted from the team seems harsh for losing your cool. suspended a game? I get it. heck even suspended for the rest of the games. I get it. but gone? Hopefully there is more to this story.

Based on what I have seen of our receivers, I liked his potential better than anyone's.
It should be noted that this was not a one-strike-and-you-re-out thing. Guyton was involved in a shouting match on the sideline with Brennan and Bolden in an earlier game. Think it might have been Colorado. And I'm just going on what was reported in the media so there may well be more to this in addition.
We lost a running back, Patrick Fuller, once, who had a lot of promise. Blew up at his position coach and was kicked off. New position coach if I recall but don't remember his name.

Don't know the particulars but it better be a serious offense/rule violation. If it's for whining, complaining, and/or bitching, let's spread the love. It's not just him. I believe I saw a Seth Collins a few weeks back act like a little B. Probably had a little butt hurt due to splitting time with Mitchell.
This Guyton dismissal must be for a serious offense. CGA must get rid of all problem children. We suck anyways. CLEAN HOUSE a la what Pirate did at Wazzu. Get rid of the cancers. All of them.
Big rebuild. CGA must be pissed. Just get better recruits.

Has to be more to it... as Collins had a couple similar, albeit not as demonstrative, blow ups vs Buffs AND sulked enough he had other players involved in trying to console him all game. Can't believe even two public blow ups ends your career. Of course who knows what happened once he left the field/our view.

To bad as he showed a lot of promise. However coach Anderson has said if a young man wanted to play he had to follow the rules, if not he would be gone. This may be a good thing for our team in the long run. Most of all I wish him well in his future endeavors. GO BEAVS, ftd.

He still might hold the WR record for offensive pass interference calls. He sure had that move down!

He still might hold the WR record for offensive pass interference calls. He sure had that move down! They were ticky-tack almost beyond belief (both of the calls). Barely any physical contact made (and on one I don't think there was any. Simply the fact he stuck his arm outward toward to defender). Probably a bad habit carried over from HS. He was whining to the refs almost every single play for PI (for any ball thrown his way), though. Especially the last few games. Brother those are not ticky tacky fouls he full on shoved a DB out of the way on one, I could have thrown a flag from my seat on the opposite side of the field. Guyton is immature, plain and simple. He had his chances. GA needs men, or at least boys that want to follow the rules.

Biggie, I saw what you saw. Very obvious interference from clear across the field. I expected him to learn the subtleties of that move, but apparently he'll be practicing that somewhere else.

I thought he was the player that tackled UCLA defender in third quarter after they caught an interception?? I don't think Eggers is right about him leaving in first half

I was talking about the Colorado game and no he didn't. They were minimal and ticky-tack, unlike calls not made for an OSU player being clearly hit OOB. Yup I was talking about Colo he shoved the DB off him and caught the ball, it is always gonna be flagged ...
