Broke Plum's record with style on a 3 point shot from so deep it looked like a buzzer beater. At halftime she has 28 points, 8 assists, and 4 rebounds against a pretty good Michigan team. Just remarkable. Women's basketball should promote her to the hilt, and make sure she's on the Olympic team.
In that same game, Greta has 1 rebound.

I can't see her getting to see much floor time in this lineup.

Well, she's not starting for Michigan, at least tonight. Who knows what would have happened if she stayed, but she didn't. In any event, like you, I'm very happy with the team we have now.
In the Iowa game, Clark outscored Michigan in the first quarter 23-22. Last I looked, she had 36 with about 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter, and Iowa's up by 15.

Clark is pretty incredible. I believe OSU was one of the her final five or six choices. She visited Corvallis and Eugene in the fall of her junior year I believe. I’m really interested to see what she’ll look like in the WNBA.
On the other hand, I would’ve never believed you if you told me that, through three seasons, Greta would be averaging 3.8 PPG on 33% shooting. Hard to see her getting more minutes next season as Michigan has two of the top guards coming in.

Greta would have been better here IMO. Rueck develops skills in ways other coaches don’t.

Greta scored 5 points a game mostly starting in her freshman year with the Beavers. In the next two years at Michigan she has averaged under 3 points a game coming off the bench. I agree that she would have developed better at OSU, but it also seems that all the rating services had her vastly overrated coming out of high school.

Greta would have been better here IMO. Rueck develops skills in ways other coaches don’t. Unfortunately she chose to listen to some disgruntled players and bail on her commitment. I'm not sure any of them found a better situation.

I'm not sure any of them found a better situation. Texas is doing quite well, and she's back home, so I'd guess Taylor's happy with how it turned out. Kennedy? No closer to home, Aleah and Tara are gone, and Duke isn't really going anywhere. Truth be known, I don't know if she's still playing there. (Anybody?) No idea if she has any regrets, or if she. or any of them would admit it if they did. My personal thinking is that what has happened with these three is probably pretty typical of players who go into the portal. A small number, like Taylor have a positive result, but most, like Greta and Kennedy, do not suddenly blossom in new surroundings. But, we now have Raegan instead of Taylor, AJ and Lily instead of Greta, and Kelsey and Timea instead of Kennedy. This is a definite plus for us in all 3 cases.

disgruntled players.......this year's team is so refreshing. I never remember a team like this one as far as how much they care for each other, love this program, and want to improve. This team may not end up as good as some past teams, but I don't think any past team was as tight as this one, or was as dedicated to improvement. Perhaps that's not a fair statement, but you can see it in every action from this team. I'm sure the final four team was somewhat similar. That team certainly had the competitors I don't know if this team has yet. This stretch run may show us that.

I hold no ill will towards the group that decided to leave. I also have no real interest in how they are doing in their new locations unless we play them.

I never saw Greta look happy, and only saw Kennedy when she grabbed a rebound from a defender and put it back up and in to win the game at the buzzer. These girls look like they're having the time of their lives, they pull for each other unconditionally, and they just look happier than hell to win a game even if they only got in for 2 minutes. When the ride ends, I'm sure the coaches, and team leaders, will point out to them how much they, alongside their friends, can accomplish next year - one can readily envision a pre-season top ten ranking and going from there. Four years ago, our average attendance was 5,902. In conference this year, we're averaging 5,178, and we're going to blow those numbers away for the last 4 home games. Winning in front of very loud and very big home crowds - that's what all of them came here for. That's what this team is getting, and they're just loving it.
