I definitely remember cruising around town in my '73 Cuda listening to the Raspberries "Fresh" on my eight track. Geez, I'm old.

Never heard of the Raspberries and from the short clips posted herein it sounds like I’m not missing out on much. It doesn’t take much in the way of life accomplishments to get an RIP call-out here. Did his career change the path of rock and roll as a musical genre? Short answer - Not at all. But those first 2 high-energy hits (Go All The Way, I Wanna Be With You) dropped when I was 12/13 or so they’re indelibly connected to the soundtrack of that age for me. Along with Led Zep, Bad Company, Grand Funk Railroad, Skynyrd, all the Philly Soul groups, Santana, Johnny Guitar Watson, Frank Zappa, early (pre-Michael McDonald) Doobie Bros - amongst others. And as I noted previously, nothing Raspberries/Eric Carmen did after that left any impression on me whatever - good, bad or indifferent.
